Challenging someone's beliefs is not the same thing as calling them stupid. Christians, though, seem to start from the premise that it's not fair and not appropriate to challenge their beliefs.

And yet, they seem to have no problem challenging the beliefs of, say, Muslims.

Mmm... it was a few months ago that i was reading Pascal's wager, but despite the reasons for wanting to believe, he suggests that in order to truly believe you must act as though you do. You pray, read the bible, go to chuch, et cetera. Basically, you brainwash yourself. i think that if this worked successfully, you'd eventually begin to believe for 'purer' reasons.

People who have Faith in any religion are delluded, empty, manipulated fools. You dont have to have religion to be a good person, its possible to have a good set of morals without being forced to obide by outdated rules incase an imaginary being condemns you to an eternity of suffering. Really, just take a step back for a second and think what your actually believing in without any hint of a shred of evidence.

Just look at US prison figures for the % of inmates that are athiests in prison, compared with the % of people that are athiests out of prison, The percentage of people in prison is much much smaller than outside, indicating that in general aithiests are much less likely to commit any crimes than religious people.

 

Add some exceptions in the filter of Christian rules.
