We are all outraged that our mayors, city councils and governors have chosen to ignore the homeless situation. It used to be called vagrancy, and there are laws against it. There are also laws against pissing and shitting in the streets, but they do it and no one cleans it up. Nobody wants these useless people wandering our streets. It's not that we have no compassion for these mostly mentally ill people. We are human and feel bad for them. But they need to go somewhere else.

Consensual incest between two or more family members who are all over the age of consent technically harms no one, but it is still sad that people use their families as "convenience fucks" rather than going out into the world to explore all the variety that's available. It is harder, for sure. And there are no guarantees "that the one you love is gonna love you." We've all had our hearts broken in that way. But it's how things are supposed to be done. I'm not saying that an incestuous relationship can't be a loving one, and it is a good way to avoid all the STD's that are out there. But it's not the way the human race was designed. Still, we have way more pressing problems to deal with than incest.

My girlfriend is a 29-year old Cuban immigrant. At 71, I'm old enough to be her father (although I look, feel and act much younger), so I understand the dynamic. The intimacy and sex I have with her is better than any other women in my life. But if she were my real daughter, there's no way I would fuck her. It's just not in me to do that. I *am* trying to give her a good life here, one that was unavailable to her in Cuba. I am frankly outraged that the US, with all its technological and military might, can allow such extreme poverty, not to mention possible bases for China, North Korea, Iran and Russia, so close to our shores. When JFK aborted the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba in 1961, he did that nation a world of hurt. He opined that Cuba was not a threat to the US, so why attack it and risk nuclear war with Russia? But in not finishing the job, he emboldened communists everywhere, and it led to the Cuban missile crisis a year later.

This world is fucked up.
