Hmm... I have become more emotional than I should have and should not have posted that, but it's there and yeah - it's real. I got caught up in something in Asia when I was there on business and gunfire broke out, a toddler was shot and killed and I got covered with blood when the fucker who shot the child got his brains blown out of his head.

Well, some close friends know the details... I still am having trouble with this experience emotionally and it's a reason why I decided to go home to the Ukraine, quit my job and start my life over. Call me what you want, but I also felt like I needed my mom to comfort me even though I'm 28 years old.

Just thought i'd chuck in my opinion. My understanding of the word molestation is, sexual or inappropriate touching without consent. So in my view, children or adults, molestation in any context is wrong.

So to sum up, no, it's not ok.

And of course, children can not give consent, so any sexual contact between an adult and a child is always molestation, whether the child is raped, sexually reactive, or groomed into giving what some twisted adult believes qualifies as consent.

You don't even have to do any physical touching to cross that line. Exposing children to graphic sex is child abuse, showing a kid pornography is child abuse, even making inappropriate comments can be considered damaging.

You know, the age where a child is emotionally and cognitively mature enough to give consent is not universally agreed upon as it ranges from 9 - 21 years old globally... Certainly, though - it's clear that in very young children that it's molestation and nothing else.

I think between the ages of 9 and 21 the level of emotional and cognitive maturity varies a lot between individual children. The age 9 is awful young and I fail to see how it can be proclaimed by anyone that any child of that age is emotionally and cognitively mature enough to give consent. Evidently, some people think that they are.

Yeah, people can argue about what age a child is mature enough to give consent, which varies a lot between individual children... I'll tell you, child pornographers and molesters bait and play the game of deception because they're after money or satisfying a sick obsession.

Honestly, it's not about consent rather it's about naivety and crime... Children are kidnapped by or sold in some cases to child pornographers in certain parts of the world and buying and promoting child pornography supports this awful genre of the industry.

Child molesters are similar to the child pornographers as their game is also to deceive and prey on their young innocent victims. Lastly, rape is violence as well...
