The internet can certainly be an addiction, although not necessarily a bad one. I have learned quite a lot since I discovered internet forums. For a political junkie like me, and one who loves to debate politics, the ability to substantiate a factual assertion with a link to a credible source is very useful.

One of the things I have learned is that there are women who enjoy casual sex with multiple partners, and men who enjoy thinking about, hearing about, and watching their wives have sex with other men. These are minority inclinations. Nevertheless, at the risk of being snickered at by XNXX sophisticates, learning that they exist at all came as a surprise to me, and if I may say so, a bit of a shock. :shock:

As far as falling in love online is concerned the internet can be a good place to meet someone. However, one should restrain one's feelings for a person until meeting that person in person, and dating that person for a fairy sustained period of time: several months at least.

Anyone on an internet forum can claim any identity. It is wise to evaluate a person by the person's posts alone. A man can claim to be accomplished; a woman can claim to be beautiful; the truth can be less. It is impossible for someone who is stupid, poorly educated, and ignorant to credibly present himself as being intelligent, widely read, and well informed.

I am sometimes ridiculed because of my affection for deidre79. That was never anything more than a cyber flirtation. Until recently I had no plans to meet her personally, and little expectation of benefiting from such a meeting. Now that there is controversy over deidre79 sex I would appreciate at least a telephone conversation with her.

You would have to be incredibly stupid.

If anyone says differently because THEY met someone they are in love with on-line, or they KNOW someone who is in love with someone they met on line, there are only 2 possibilities:

1) They really didn't fall in love until AFTER they actually met in person and confirmed that the interest that was generated on line was real, or

2) They or you are deluding yourself.

 

I agree, but that the attraction was so intense they agreed to meet and it developed from there is still incredible. What is it about an on-line persona, or even an avatar, that makes you want to get to know that person better?

Sure it is.

Now this would all depend on how far the two take the relationship but like any relationship you have to take it to that next level of love.

 

Both can give you a look into their personality and there are some here that give off a "good vibe" with a playful or witty Av and if that person is generally upbeat or humorous, only time will tell if they have consistency/discrepancies that may endear that person to you for a deeper look.

Ive had several relationships that started online, Ive been to Hungary to meet a woman and her son for a weekend, we had a lovely time together, I even learnt to speak hungarian while we chatted online, about 7 meets with girls sexually (one night stands) but, and it is a big BUT!!!!
I met one girl who was from turkey, we were really for each other, I had tickets booked, I had flowers delivered to her from interflora, I sent her presents for valentines day and made sure they arrived on valentines day, when we web cammed you should have seen the delight in her face, I sent her scented velvet roses with my aftershave dabbed on them for her lol, I was delighted I had made someone so happy, she was dizzy with affection, I have never seen someone so delighted, I got her gifts from the boddy shop, I even got this shampoo from a shop in london sent to liverpool to send to her " wild rashberry" her nan got her a bottle and she had never been able to get it since, I listend to all she told me and she knew I had when she got her presents, her and my mother and farther knew we were meeting etc.

we got along great until !!! we were talking about 911 and she mentioned that the americans deserved it, no matter what culture you are, you do not deserve to turn up to work one day and have to jump from a 97th floor of a building because your only other option is to slowly burn to death, nor be inocentlly bombed while you tend your field as you work hard to feed your familly, however, she felt quite strong about Alquieda and thought... in her words you are all western pigs !!, she said that in a agitated way but it soon became apparent she had strong religious views, so yes it does have its pot holes meeting someone online, i was very sad we didnt get along after that because we were like two crossed fingers before religion came in to it
