Yes it's possible. Here's a life experience. A very abbreviated description. One of my best friends and I shared an apartment for several months. The thing is we slept together all the time. The key word here is slept as in to sleep. We never had sex in all that time. Every time she had a dispute with her boyfriend, had a bad day or just because, she'd climb into my bed. She's an extremely attractive woman and I loved every moment of it. The following year they got married and shortly after that they moved back to his hometown in Britain. Before she left she stopped over for a few drinks and it became apparent that the very thin line that had existed was about to be crossed. She let me know she wasn't on the pill and I told her I hadn't any condoms. She just smiled a very slight smile. There was a hidden implication.
