    We're gathering up things this weekend for a 3 week plus road trip starting Monday. The wife and I are taking the "Little Mule" to the desert so we can collect some rocks, visit ghost towns and cruise part of Rt 66. We'll end up in Desert Hot Springs to soak in the mineral pools. :thumbsup:

      You might check out "The Crystal Collector" on youtube. This guy pulls out some amazing amethyst crystals among others. He also sells much of it at good prices.

      One of my fave presents ever. In northern Ontario amethyst is very common; my ex’s great-aunt in Thunder Bay has a fireplace wall done in it. I only visited her once - lovely lady - and I just sat and gazed at the fireplace the whole time. Amethyst is my favourite. I love it a lot. Next is tourmaline, but I don’t have the $$$ for a good chunk of that, so rhodo is a more realistic goal, I hope.

    And guess what? It’s Thanksgiving weekend! Woooohooooo!

    One of my faves, for real. Fantastic craft festivals, farmer’s markets for food, family home for the long weekend .... oh my heavens I am Martha Stewart as fuck in the fall, haha. ;)

    I’ve got decorating and baking and craft fair shopping and cooking on the sched pretty much the whole weekend, culminating in the grand gathering on Monday.
