Can't anyone be a patriot? You know, in addition to what ever else they do. A patriotic banker, patriotic actor, patriotic mechanic, patriotic politician, patriotic comedian?

Patriotism is simply a love of country and supporting its authority and interests.

All our authority comes directly from the Constitution and if we compare what Jon Stewart says compared to what CFH420 says its clear he has no understanding and no respect for the US constitution nor the principles and ideals it expresses.

Notice Stewart knows and realizes that SB1070 in unconstitutional and attempts to legalize racial discrimination, while CFH420 sounds more like a fascist than a patriot.

See once again our constitution expressly guarantees, Muslims can build a Mosque anywhere they want. Because there is a constitutional right to the practice of religions, but there is no constitutional right for racist bigots like CFH420 to not be offended.

And being consistent CFH420 reveals himself to be quite the whit supremacist which of course runs directly opposite of both the US constitution and the very principles it was founded on.

No, I think even if he's a comedian and an entertainer (As if Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck aren't) Jon Stewart is quite obviously a patriot compared to people like CFH420.

I think it would be ridiculous to claim any of these "entertainers" don't have very strongly held ideological beliefs that they have figured out how to make money off of not the other way around.

Now I admire Jon Stewart a lot more because he uses humor to further his political beliefs instead of hate, fear, discontent, and anger which is always easier to stir up in people. But I think it would be ridiculous to contend they don't really believe in what they are saying and acting on.

 

Good point there Stumbler. Those two are the biggest Asshats I have ever seen and when someone comes back at those two they get angry and start yelling because they don't know anything except their ass.

 

Its been many years ago now but I remember reading a Playboy Magazine Interview with Rush Limbaugh and they just let him ramble on and on pushing all the hate and discontent buttons.

But then the interviewer said what he was saying may or may not be true but instead of just going on and on about what he thought was wrong, what were his solutions? What were his alternatives for what he considered the failed policies?

Limbaugh ended up just throwing a fit and storming out of the interview.

Its a perfect reflection of what is happening now with the majority of Tea Party Members. They can carry on and on about what they think is wrong but when asked how we should solve the problems facing us they don't have any.

 

You can say that about any party not in charge at the time.............Everyday it goes on, It will never stop.

I approve of Jon Stewart and his Rally to Restore Sanity! I would totally go if it wasn't for the fact that it'd be very expensive for me to fly over.

 

I am surprised that Rush Limbaugh even agreed to have that interview. He usually avoids hostile interviews and debates. He only feels comfortable with people who agree with him. Callers on his talk show are carefully screened. The only liberals who usually get through are those who seem to be poorly informed and inarticulate.

 

They all do it. Anyone who stages a rally in Washington gets people there by bus, train and plane -- except the comedy central boys. I'm afraid that we're going to have to pay for the trip ourselves!

 

Well Stewart is going to be on Letterman tonight so maybe we will get some answers.
