The US Bureau of Labor Statistics put "the unemployment rate at 4.3%, and the number of unemployed person, at 6.9 million". It appears that there are 3.3 million temporary workers, 5.2 million part time workers and 1.7 million long term unemployed in May 2017.

According to the US Census Bureau 52.2 million received government assistance programs. It does not differentiate between why they were receiving assistance. The programs included Medicaid, SNAP, housing assistance SSI and TANF. (Www.census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2015/cb15-97.html)

 

Ok so there are definitekly more people looking for jobs than there a jobs just like I said. And that is only the people who are collecting unemployment. It does not count people who have dropped out of the workforce or ran out of unemployment benefits which pushes the number much higher.

So just telling someone to get off government assistance and get a j9b is just stupid when the reality is a job does not exist for them. And the only altrenative is to start allowing men women and children to starve and die in the streets.

Are you in favor of that?

Ok lets look at these one at a time.

Medicaid--People who receive medicaid include every thing from children to the elderly. No jobs for them. And a huge number of people who qualify for Medicaid actually have full time jobs that pay below the poverty level. Just like the Burger King job you mentioned.

SNAP--This also includes the elderly, as well as people on unemployment and again people who work full time jobs that pay below the poverty level. Like your Burger King job.

Housing assistance--This again includes everytbing from the elderly, to minorities, to families. And again most of them do have jobs and try to work but can't find jobs that pay above the poverty level.

SSI--You have to be disabled or already collecting social security to qualify for this program so you can't tell them to get off public assistance and get a job.

TANF--Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. This feeds mostly women and kids and is only TEMPORARY.

So thank you for proving my point.It probably makes people like you feel good to try and tell people to get off welfare and get a job but its actually just a cruel joke that ignores the realities.

That said, the biggest mistake that she made was to apologize for it, you DO NOT apologize for the things that you believe in ...

I have always lived by "you don't apologize for anything, just take credit"

 

It's interesting how she dropped of the social media map after her press conference. Her website has been updated to no upcoming shows in 2017. I've been tweeting her everyday since the incident, telling her to drop dead along with a few other things I can't repeat here. Maybe she took my suggestion?

 

She simply became desperate trying to find someway to remain relevant in her comedian world .

So she decided to try something really controversial and never expected it to backfire on her like this.

So now she's trying everything to fix what can't be fixed .

Whoever commented that the Obama effigies were inappropriate is also correct and I said so at the time because the office needs to be respected .

But this thing she did was happening now and I think that CNN did the right thing .

So she can finish out her life playing at small nondescript venues and scratching out a living.

But she's probably worried about violence being directed against her.

I'm very aware that there are vigilantes who would feel it is their duty to deal with Miss Griffin. Misplaced patriotism perhaps ?

And this can come from the left or the right .

It doesn't have anything to do with Trump or his family ordering a hit .

I mean look at what happened to Roseann Barr after her excrable behavior while singing the national anthem .

I wouldn't want to see Griffin killed. That would just make her a martyr for the left. Denying her of the attention she craves is far more effective. I will never see one of her shows and will threaten to boycott any company who chooses to support her.

Kathy Griffin has shaved her head in support of her sisters cancer diagnosis. While I applaud her for supporting her sister, OMG does she look nasty bald!

 

Yeah I knew in advance that Griffin shaving her head would be what resurrected this thread but no mention at all of her being completely cleared by the Secret Service.

 

Holding a replica of a severed head of President Trump is disgusting.

These statues of the first presidential candidate who felt the need to assert that he has a large penis are funny. I wish more of them were set up in public places.

 

God forbid anyone made statues of Obama like those. They'd be labeled as racist.
