Well weather,heat from your body, the spring in the mag being fully depressed all the time. It's saftey. I also clean mine once a week and after everytime I fire it.

 

I just noticed the Nagant up there. Nice rifles for the cost I have 2 20 rifle crates of Russian Nagants unfired by me they have all the extras and are still covered in that greasy shit they pack em' in.

 

Didnt know bout the spring being compressed all the time. I have my one I keep loaded with my hydro shock rounds for the house and it stays loaded all the time. Then I have the other mags I just use at the range. I always clean my gun before I go to the range. I know it sounds backwards

 

Yeah it weakens the spring over time. I clean mine before and after. Sometimes I pull a AR out and just clean it over and over because it's theraputic for me and clams my PTSD.

 

Yeah, that greasy shit is cosmoline I think. If you get one out to fire it make sure you clean it REALLY good 1st. I didn't and it was twice the pain to clean it after that shit glazed inside the chamber.

 

Cosmoline yeah I couldn't think of the word but yeah I got a old oven I use to bake it off guns and parts. I learned that one the hard way too.

 

Never heard of the shit y'all are talking about. But don't like fun cleaning.

It is,I've used thinner on it and it doesn't even cut through it the best way is to is to bake it off.

Yes I have a M203 in the Marines and I have both a M79 and a M203 in my collection. I even have a M60 their all legal and registered. 40mm rounds are hard to find though I have to go through Autoweapons.com or talk to my budies that are still enlisted.

 

That's one thing I would love to shoot. But I doubt that will ever happen. How much does a round run if you know off hand

Smoke,CS/OC,Marker, and dummy rounds run about $40-65 depending on who you by from. Technicly you can't get the granade rounds and you didn't hear this but you can get them though guys in the military if you know who to talk to. (price veries greatly) You can also get adapters for shotgun shells and whats called a bees nest it's reloadable and holds 10 .22 rounds but I don't like using them because their hard on the barrel.
Try gun shows and shooting events sometimes guys will have them and let you buy a marked up round to fire. My dad used to do that with the M60.
