Conservative watchdog Judicial Watch is calling on Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe to recover and release federal records and memos it claims were “unlawfully” removed by former Director James Comey, threatening the FBI with a lawsuit should the bureau not comply.



Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, penned a letter to McCabe on June 14 warning of a potential violation of the Federal Records Act, which is the basis for the federal government’s policies regarding the “creating, maintaining, and disposing” of federal records.

“As you may be aware, the Federal Records Act imposes a direct responsibility on you to take steps to recover any records unlawfully removed from the FBI,” Fitton wrote in the letter, claiming Comey unlawfully removed memos that could contain contents regarding the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. “Upon learning that records have been unlawfully removed from the FBI, you then are required to initiate action through the Attorney General for the recovery of records.”

 

So Judaical Watch and CNN are both demanding the same thing. That's interesting.

Honestly I have never seen such an insane clown show in my life.

Last week Trump's personal attorney did something some claim is illegal and many legal experts say at the very least unetheical and a violation of state bar regulations when he held a meeting with members of the White House staff where among other things he told them they did not need to get their own personal lawyers. Which almost all legal experts say is just insane advice because as the investigations keep expanding and more and more White House staffers get called into talk to the Special Counsel having their own attorney is absolutely essential to keep them from getting into serious legal trouble and without their own attorny to advise theyt would be sitting ducks.

But then yesterday it was revealed VP Mike Pence has hired his own personal attorney to deal with the investigations.

And today it is being rep0rted that even Trump's own personal attorney has hired his own personal attorney to represent him as the investigations unfold.

 

Under Obama, no less.
