  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Birthers spend their days talking to each other, and listening to professional liars like Rush Limbaugh. They live in a parallel universe where President Obama hates whites, and wants the terrorists to win.

Ok, do you realize how much is wrong with this? First, the courts have already ruled on Obama's birth certificate, so any argument based on that condition is already null and void. Second, in order for him to claim the order was illegal based on Obama's standing as CiC he'd also have to show that the order came from Obama personally; if the order came from anyone else (and a Lt. Colonel is really not all that high up the food chain. In a combat zone he might be running a decent sized unit, but as far as the Pentagon is concerned, Bird Colonels are the coffee bitches) then it is still a legal order. Finally, he's broken the golden rule. Officers never do politics. You can capitalize on rank once you're out, but as long as you're in uniform mum's the word. You can talk about it, you can vote, but you don't campaign. At least, the good ones don't.

King, sorry to hear about your grandfather. If there is ever a reason to avoid an order, not killing children is one of them.

Sigh, not this old lie again. Look, the United States is a sovereign nation. As such, it does not take orders from anyone, including the UN, which isn't a sovereign nation by the way. Bush asked, Congress approved, therefore the war was legal. It is plain and simple and all according to our Constitution.

Don't be! I'm not. He never was, not one time until the day he died. He framed the court marshal papers and kept em in a box with his silver star and his purple heart.

Actually, no. The Constitution requires that Congress declare war, not just authorize funding for it. That, as you probably know, hasn't happened since 1941.

If you wanna go all originalist Kiki, actually no - the Constitution gives war power to the Congress, but it doesn't state that all uses of force must include a declaration of war. In fact - that would be an impossible standard. By far - the most common use of troops early in the Republic was against Indian tribes. But, even our first actual "war" against the Barbary pirates wasn't started with a declaration of war. Essentially, the sheik of Tripoli or some shit came to our embassy and chopped down our flag pole. The US Congress passed a spending bill that providing funding to our Navy, that while recognizing a state of war existed, was not a "Declaration of War" in the manner of the War of 1812 or WWII. These are the folks that wrote the Constitution - they clearly understood their intention towards the war powers clause.

You know I'm with ya 99.9% of the way, but the "Force Must Always Be A Declared War" argument is just a Ron Paul bumper sticker cliche. I'd rather have a declared war, as well - but that's an argument that should be justified politically and not constitutionally. And I'd certainly like to see our political class stop calling things wars when they're not - in a cynical attempt to claim war power without the drawbacks that come with a state of war.

Okay, then how about the War Powers Resolution, passed by Congress in 1973 (after the Gulf of Tonkin), which requires the president to obtain either a declaration of war or a resolution authorizing the use of force from Congress within 60 days of initiating hostilities with a full disclosure of facts in the process?

The fact is, presidents have gradually usurped the power assigned by the Constitution to Congress, and Congress has been wimpy enough to allow it, since God knows THEY don't want to be held responsible for limiting a president's power to start a war....

The soldier's argument is that Obama is not a natural born citizen, because he possibly may not have been born on US soil. He is the son of an American citizen, which makes me a natural born citizen. He could have been born in a plane flying over Russia and it wouldn't matter. He is a citizen and legally the President of the United States.

The War Powers Act proves my argument! Before War Powers, a President could deploy troops anywhere in the world. Regardless of Congressional approval - the President would start a de facto war: think Korea!

A lawful use of force declaration was passed against Al Qaeda in regards to Afghanistan and the Taliban, and a lawful use of force declaration was passed against Iraq. I believe we would have been better served declaring war on Iraq, but that's a political argument, here's why:

War would have been completed in a couple months. Theoretically, we would pack up our toys and come home. Of course, that wouldn't have happened - we're still occupying Germany and Japan - but when the shit started to hit the fan in 2004, we would have required new political deliberation. The public consciousness wouldn't have perceived us as "still being at war". President Bush would have had to expend more political capital, and perhaps have paid electoral consequences. At the very least, a political recalculation might have forced us to surge two years earlier and we'd be done and home with Iraq by now.

I do not believe Obama is an American citizen, so what, you do? That really makes me feel warm and fuzzy in fact I believe his whole existence to be fabricated and most swept under the rug, for anyone to do any research on Barack Hussein Obama and not come to the conclusion that he is an extreme left liberal pig whose policies are anything but American is a fool. He is no commander in chief, look at how he handles the military? he is a joke. thank you :)

Deidre thank you for you weighing in on this. Your delusional, completely fanatical, gibberish is the best endorsement of President Obama's legitimacy we could hope for. You have never been right about anything and you're not going to start now are you?
