Not that it matters, and not that I have a problem with mother/son or father/daughter incest as long as the parties are consentual. This isn't in response to the incest itself, its a response to all the Bible quoting. True, in the Old Testament, IF you believe the Bible and the words in It, incest had to have occured. But later on in the Bible, it also says above all other things, follow the laws of God and secondly, follow the laws of man. If you break a law of man, you're sinning. That's from the Bible. Take this a step further, speeding is a sin, jaywalking is a sin. So, if you live in a state where incest is against the law, and you participate in an incestuous act, you sinned. But, as stated before, as long as the parties are consentual and a mutual respect is shown between the participants, I don't see anything wrong with it. I personally wouldn't have sex with my mother, simply because of the respect and high esteem I hold her in, but that doesn't mean others feel the same way. I say if its your cup of tea, knock yourself out, have fun with it. If its not, then don't be so close minded as to insult those that do. As someone said earlier, the majority of sexual acts, even those considered 'normal' are sins against God. Something as simple as oral sex is a sin if you want to get technical. Any sexual act that canNOT result in spreading the seed and procreating is a sin. So back off judydoo and examine you're own life. Regardless of the religious trivialties, incest is probably not the best thing to practice where it's parent-child due to the negative effects it no doubt has on the child. And the fact it seems, many cases of incest lack consent, or is statutory rape.
