Sounds like she's probably filling an emotional need which can get worse and effect her in other ways if she keeps catering to it. I guess I'd have to know her. There is the possibility it's just a harmless fetish. Rape fantasies are probably more common than most realize. It's the "act like she's 12" part that makes me think she PTSD.

I would pay attention to the way she acts out of the bedroom. Irrational, depressed or violent behavior would indicate a problem that requires therapy.

It causes a great deal of confusion and pain since they "arent supposed to feel that way" and they dont understand that its just the way the human psyche manages and learns to cope with the pain, humiliation and anger left over from the event. Many people find themselves thinking they are perverted or wierd or just plain fucked up, and those feelings often lead ot a host of other self destrucive behaviors. Its very rare for a person who has been abused to admit that they have these thoughts since the thought of other people finding out about those fantasies would only serve to magnify the humiliation and pain, not unlike being raped again.

So is it normal? No and yes...

Is it healthy? In the right context I dont see it doing any real damage.

Roll playing has been done a bazillion times by a bazillion people. That she wants to fantasize about being a young girl would tell me that she was sexualized at an early age and maybe wishes she had done more about it when she was younger. How many of us have said the words "if I knew then what I know now...?"

The question you might want to ask yourself is this: What woud your reaction be to a story in the paper of a guy being arrested for the rape of a 12 year old.
