Making peace with someone I've always considered to be a friend. But that doesn't mean we won't be butting heads again. Because that's what friends do

 

We left Houston this morning and my mom was driving us to the airport so we could get to my wifes families house in time, I got a shock when my mom remembered that a few weeks before my arrival and old friend had come by the house to bring me some of my stuff, it was just odds and ends nothing personal, but she was telling us about it and I asked which friend it was. Her response floored me, she said it was that tall black guy that I dated, then she said that she did not know why I broke it off with him. I was so scared that she would be disowning me but instead was very supportive and told me that it was better off because now I had my wife, and even though she cannot give her a grand kid she knows I am happy. She had both me and my wife in tears by this point because we tried so hard to hide that secret from her in fear that it would break her heart that my wife is trans and that I had sex with both males and females. My mom is an old school Mexican Catholic so her being ok with it all was shocking to say the least, the fact that she knew for a long time was just astounding. It made me wonder how long she knew and her answer was since the night I snuck (that friend that came to drop my stuff off) into the house one night and we were so loud in bed that she could hear us. I almost died and my wife had a few questions. That is when my mom said something I never thought I would hear come out of her mouth. She told me it can be hard to sleep when your son is in a room screaming out fuck me daddy, shove that big black in me, make me your whore. Needles to say it turned out for the better because now I do not have to feel guilty because I lied to her for so long.

Mayor of Olympia, Washington, Cheryl Selby, has been a vocal proponent of Black Lives Matter and backer of the protests that have spread across the country amid the death of George Floyd, but when these same people vandalized her home, she called it "domestic terrorism."

It was reported last week that "two groups converged in downtown Olympia, and some became destructive, burnings flags, smashing windows, and spray painting businesses" moving eventually migrating to Selby's neighbourhood and vandalizing her home.

This same retraction of endorsement for the behaviour of the protesters and rioters happened with ESPN sportswriter, Chris Martin Palmer, who initially supported the riots in Minneapolis, but called those same people "animals" when they came for his home.

Met friend s at the winery tonight after late work got home . And my girl and my kids . Had a beautiful surprise for me they are having one of my Harley-Davidson’s custom painted for me . Now that is the greatest give they could have ever gave me . I love these three .

 

Fur doesn’t get much shorter on dogs than on the bully breeds. Being an Old English, Georgia is no exception. Her fur is smooth, and short, and not terribly thick.

But it never fails to make me laugh that after she’s had a bath and is finally dry, for a 15 minutes she’s actually kinda soft and fluffy. She always looks a little uncomfortable, like she’d prefer you didn’t see her so indisposed.

Doing a walk through on my old house. The contractors are almost finished and it looks like a brand new house. It gets staged and photographed next week and then listed for sale!

 

Was at the grocery store... Younger dad... Late 20's I'd say... With his boy... Maybe 5 or 6... Well the boy was being a little shit... I want this.. I want that... Dad told him to cool it... He didn't... Then dad grabbed his arm... Looked the boy directly in the eye.... Said.. You wanna take a trip out to the car????... The boy knew dad was done with his bullshit... Not another issue that I saw... They ended up in line in front of me... My comment to Dad.... You handled that well...

I need to get my bathroom redone but I can’t hire anyone to come out and do it because of this whole COVID thing. They’re all so backed up from work they missed during the lockdown that they can’t come out for weeks. Maybe I can do it myself. Pfft. That made me smile
