Next week Nascar is off to Michigan...

Kyle Busch won the Nationwide race, and Todd Bodine won in the trucks...

 

It was great to see Stewart/Haas win their first race. It is not just that I know Tony, I have met Mr. Haas and he is a very nice man. What a way to win a race at half throttle.

 

Yes, great race! What did you think about the double file restarts? I think it helped alot. WHAT DOES EVRY ONE THINK?

 

I think it's going to be a great fix, especially towards the end of a race...It's crazy that a driver that's running third has to race around someone running thirty-third...It should make for some exciting restarts in the races...

 

Really, my only other thing is tweek the cot's just alittle!

Good morning, it's time to go racing in Michigan today!!! Brian Vickers is on the pole...This is the house that Roush built, but they have been struggling this year...I know Carl Edwards should be my pick, but I'm going with Biffle today...Go Greg!!!

Colin Braun won the truck race for Roush, and that sure made Jack Roush("the Cat in the Hat") smile!!! It was win number 50 for them in that series...

Nationwide drivers raced in Kentucky and Joey Logano won that one...

 

A question to all you lovers of muscle cars, what do you think of the Pontiac G8 and especially the GXP?, Did you know the G8 was designed and built in Australia although the motor is American. That is shipped down here to the GM factory in South Australia and it's tuned to match the equivalent to our HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) then we build a high performance car around it then ship it back to the US and it's rebadged as a Pontiac G8. It's reported that there were 28,000 sold in the US last year.

Or should i say all this happened before the financial crisis, but with GM getting government help it may be on again.

Mark Martin won at Michigan, go Mark!!! That was his third win this year...I'd love to see him win a championship...

 

I didn't post this week-end about the road course race in Sonoma... I don't think anyone really cares, but I love Nascar...

Kasey Kahne won, and it was the first win for Richard Petty Motorsports... In fact, it was the first win for the King in ten years...Although, he's just a figurehead at RPM...
I'm not a big road course fan, but with new restart rule I thought it made the race more interesting...

Carl Edwards finally got a win in the Nationwide at Milwaukee...I like any race Kyle Busch doesn't win...I hated it when he destroyed that Gibson guitar after his win in Nashville...Grow up, Kyle!!!

On his 51st birthday Ron Hornaday won in the trucks in Milwaukee!!! He's my favorite truck driver...I don't think he has any fear...

I only drag this thread out once a week or so...Glad to hear that you enjoy racing...I'd say racing and golf are my two favorites...You can't get two sports that are further apart...

 

LOL! Very true... I also like NFL, Hockey, NCAA Men's hoops. I'd rather play golf than to watch it. And no, I can't play worth a damn. :excited:

It's time to go racing in New Hampshire today, and Smoke will be leading them out to the green flag...I just can't decide who I want to take today...Track position is a big thing at Loudon...I hope RCR has solved some of their problems, because I'm going to pick Jeff Burton...Go Jeff!!!
