  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

‎27 days until the Daytona 500 (2/26 at 1 p.m. ET on FOX): Junior Johnson drove the 27 car to Victory Lane in the 1960 Daytona 500. Johnson discovered "drafting" during the race, which helped propel him to victory.

That was something I didn't know before... Junior Johnson may have discovered, but Dale Sr. perfected it... He was so good at "drafting."

What do you think is the most important on-track change in racing evolution? Drafting? Pit stops?

Well the daytona 500 is the only race I really pay attention to. Dale Jr. Really needs to get out of the slump he has been in the past few years.

In all honesty drafting is huge but a lot of races are won or lost in the pits so both of them preform well will get you to victory lane.

From the crying I here I am thinking I am an outcast for saying that I actually liked the "Tandem Racing" that's happened the last few super speedway races. I feel it is actually more competitive. And if you think back, the finishes are almost the same as if they ran the day in a pack. Seems like when in the packs, there'd be a small pack of 4 that would break away and battle for the checkered. Exactly how it ends today.

The packs seem stupid to me, running tight like that until someone goofs up and takes out 15 cars. How is that better?

Two by two, dicing it up, pass after pass after pass. THAT'S RACING.

I like the "tandem racing." I think it makes for a more interesting race-those long "trains" in the middle of the race get very boring...:) Nascar seems determined to go back to it...

25 days until the DAYTONA500 on NASCAR ON FOX: Fred Lorenzen led 25 laps during his 1965 Daytona 500 win...
The purse for the Daytona 500 this year is over 19 million-not bad for a bunch of so-called rednecks...

I like that they've added a half way bonus, that should make it interesting.

Also congrats to the Harvick's on their pregnancy!!

It's ‎21 days until the Daytona 500 (2/26 at 1 p.m. on FOX): The 21 has visited Daytona 500 Victory Lane 5 times starting with Tiny Lund in 1963. The other Daytona 500 winners for the Wood Brothers are Cale Yarborough, AJ Foyt, David Pearson and Trevor Bayne.

Do you think any team has had a better stable of drivers than the Wood Brothers?

I'll be there three weeks from today. Last year I got see Trevor Bayne win. This year I'm hoping to see my boy in the #24 or a certain very good looking brunette in the #10 car in victory lane.

Watching highlights of media day last night when I got home put me over the edge. This year is going to be great. Last season ended with the most spectacular finish ever in the sport. Here's hoping this season can meet that bar.

It should be a very interesting race with the changes made to the cars. I too enjoyed the tandem style racing. I get the feeling that "the big one" will happen fairly early in the race, maybe around lap 60 to 100. But who's gonna win it??.. I don't have a clue.. it has been a bit unpredictable as of late so I'm just going to sit back with a nice tub of pop corn some other snacks and enjoy the show!!.. Good luck to all the drivers and crews and I hope to see a safe race. The Busch brothers on the same team???.. OH BROTHER that will be interesting!!

Hey, Ten, good to see you-hope all is well with you!!! :excited: I watched some of the practice today and it was great to see cars on the track... They had an accident today with 5 drivers involved(Smoke, both Penske cars, Kurt Busch, and AJ). Can't wait to see some racing tomorrow...:cool::cool: Today some were doing tandems and some were doing the trains... I like tandem racing, but Nascar wants it gone...
