anime nerds are just like everyone else, they want to have fun. and the older ones wHO HAVE LIVES (not to be confused with those that don't.. wait... i don't have a life... but i'm a recluse so that doesn't really count) are generally intelligent people with a range of likes and dislikes.

Yea I agree. I also enjoyed how.."mature" they were considering they're pulling these versions from kids shows. I mean just the level of violence alone was pretty sexy :excited:

I think the only way to settle that honestly is by saying that Mark Hamill will always be the best joker by personality+voice while Heath Ledger may be the best Joker in body and action (who knoes, maybe in the future someone will be able to usurp Ledger's awesome portrayal).

I make it a habit to go back and watch some of the Batman animated series whenever I get the chance. It's just so fun to watch the Joker do his thing.

My point was that if 20 years ago, some American guy had come up with Final Fantasy and made the game and it turned out to be amazing, would it really matter who made it? If a game/anime/comic is good, it doesn't matter who made it. Just enjoy it and stop obsessing over where it came from.

Batman the animated series, The new adventures of Batman, Superman the animated series, Batman Beyond, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, The Batman, and, if I'm in the mood for a laugh, Teen Titans.

Oh, and the new one, The Brave and the Bold, god, that one is so freaking awesome, I loved the episode with the alternate universe, they made the Red Hood so much of a badass.

 

My brothers once wante me to be a DM for them in a game of D&D, I just slowley shook my head and slowley walked away.

I have friends that larp all the time, too. They go to this thing called Amtgard. I suppose it might be fun, but I have no time to make costumes or attend all of the events. My job always has me working weekends.

 

*Shrugs* I liked forum playing when I was a kid but I can't really get into it now because.... like.... for one I feel embarrassed... but aside from that most people that do it are 13 year olds that just want to either cyber or do a lame plot OR find "love" with the FIRST girl that accepts them.

I liked Static Shock- but they were so ba about putting up new episodes. I saw the first one like 29 times before throwing a tortilla at the tv screen.



I'm currently trying to find streaming versions of the tv series andromeda, but only veoh has it, and I can't watch it since their "player" can't be downloaded at school and sucks ASS anyways.

I'm not saying anime is bad in itself. You should check out Batman Gotham Knight, they actually got 5 different anime studios to contribute their own short Batman segment, and the style really fits in for all of them, especially In Darkness Dwells, my favorite one.

Batman Beyond was one of the best, lol. It really showed that Bruce Timm is the guy to go to for DC animated films. There was no comic about Batman 50 years into the future. One of the best things about Batman is his rouge gallery, yet, by 50 years into the future, they'd be either dead or retired, and obviously Bruce is too old to be Batman. Yet he took that concept anyway, gave it a sort of Peter Parker spin with having a younger guy behind the mask, having to deal with school and stuff, and made it awesome.
