i am the quintessential nerd.. when i was a little girl i was tomboy as hell!!

i love anime.. video games.. i post on video game websites.. spend hours tracking down the latest news to my favorite stuff.. scour youtube for trailers.. spend hours playing with my phone downloading apps. and tweaking its performance.. im constantly tinkering with my computer.. like right now im fighting with my monitor and my graphics card because it broadcasts at a higher definition but the damn thing doesnt want to actually BE in higher definition.. its pissing me off!! !!

i speak geek in everday speech.. like i actually say 'lol' and 'lmao'.. 'win' and 'epic'.. out loud to people.. and sometimes they know what im saying.. lol!!and am constantly spitting obscure references from games and tv.. like the other day i nearly killed my friend because i layed, 'i cant believe you came on my mom.. ' we all started dieing..

i cant even begin to list all of the games ive played.. but my favies are.. mario.. zelda.. metroid.. resident evil.. silent hill.. final fantasy.. the chrono series.. the tales series.. the golden sun series.. dont even get me started on pokemon.. the bioshocks.. gears of war.. call of duty.. mega man.. castlevania.. i like this game mini ninjas that came out not too long ago.. its a lot of fun for a kiddie platformer.. fuckin love god of war.. dragon quest.. dragon age.. and these are just the ones off the top of my head..

anime and i go way back.. the very first one i ever watched was speed racer.. then came the opening of the flood gates with voltron and kimba the white lion.. voltes 5 and macron 1.. sailor moon and hamtaro.. then when i got older it was cowboy bebop.. death note.. trigun.. macross.. robotech.. dragon ball z.. evangelion.. rapheon.. code geass.. wolf's rain.. trinity blood.. blood +.. so many others and thats just shows not movies..

i will continue to play games well into the future im sure.. i cant wait for metroid other M and CoD black ops.. man do i wanna bust up some charlie!! GS:dark dawn cant come fast enough.. the new 360 castlevania has me creaming!! i just beat sin and punishment for the wii.. its ok.. wasnt too impressed.. im about to do my third run through of tales of vesperia.. and if anyone is looking for an awesome 2D platformer on the 360 shadow complex is a MUST BUY!! im chomping at the bit for a 3DDS!! and i cant wait my new 360 slim!!

my friend is supposed to be trying to score me a copy of ponyo.. but that was about a week ago.. probly gonna have to get it myself.. i cant wait for that.. imana smoke my GOOD shit when we get that movie man!!

Just a few books and old games lately haven't watching anime in a while.

 

So it's kinda like comic-con only without all the booths and stuff? I have come across a few videos on YouTube of kids who went to cosplays and did little skits that they wrote based on whatever anime they liked. So is the little skits not the norm for those things?

My favorite YouTube video is called "Cup of Ramen" which is how I found out about cosplays. That's why I was wondering exactly what they were. I've seen videos of people doing these types of skits at cosplays but I didn't know if that was a special treat or if that's what the cosplays were all about. I think I'm still confused. Or maybe what Americans do at cosplays differs from what they do in Japan. Either way it all looks like fun to me.

Uh, you got the wording wrong.
Unless I'm mistaken, cosplay isnt a place you go to, it's an act. The act of cosplaying is to dress up like certain anime or game characters, it's not an event like comic-con, though I'd imagine there are a lot of cosplayers there.

 

i'll have to watch it later but I do think people put on little shows and things. I've actually yet to go to a con.
If I did I'd want to go in a group with like 3 people at least
