I keep spouting poetry, but haven't even tried it on someone who is available.

I need to join a poetry group! Hmm, there is a creative writing course in the summer at a residential college - it's free as well!

For poetry, I wonder if you have ever visited Poetry.com. I have spublished on their web site numberous poems, one of which was give the position of honor in the 2006 Who'sWho in International Poetry.

You can post any poem, they have contests with cash prizes, and their world conference was actually here in Las Vegas in 2006. The downside, their books with your poetry in it usually about $50. The fee for attending the convention was $500, just for registration.

They seem to always be telling me that I have won some award with a huge engraved trophy, but to get it you have to go to their convention and register.

Nevertheless, they have really made nice presentations on the net of all my poems submitted. Several of them are actually songs I wrote.

I dunno about that. I used to do service calls at the local women's prison. I tend to like my equipment. I can't promise you that you'd leave the prison in its original state.

Plus, there's a lot of them that are just skanks.

 

That reminds me a a good cash-making scam run by King Henry VIII and successive monarchs.
