  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

I have a feeling the Eagles are going to win this game or at least do just enough that Reid keeps his job.

Sometimes I really hate being a Philly fan

Despite what people say reid is a good coach. Just look at all these quarterbacks that flourished under his system then failed on another teams

You cannot tackle the holder or the kicker, unless the kick is blocked.

If you tackle the kicker before the kick is blocked, it is considered to be roughing the kicker.

But if you tackle the holder before the kick is blocked, it is considered to be unnecessary roughness. So it is actually a 5 yard penalty if you tackle the holder.

If you remember Super Bowl 43, that would be an example of unnecessary roughness on the holder, because there is no such penalty as roughing the holder. Here is the call from the 3rd quarter.

4-9-ARZ 9 (3:36) (Field Goal formation) Je.Reed 27 yard field goal is GOOD, NULLIFIED by Penalty, Center-J.Retkofsky, Holder-M.Berger.
PENALTY on ARZ-A.Wilson, Unnecessary Roughness, 5 yards, enforced at ARZ 9 - No Play. X15

I know some Steelers and Cardinals fans, and this call is one that both sides talk about.

That is what you get for listening to baller16 for information or knowledge.

FYI There is a penalty in NCAA football called roughing the holder, it is a 15 yard penalty. Here is the link:

But as I understand it ... if you jump up towards the ball and block it, then since you're inevitably going to land on the kicker you'll be giving away a penalty anyway.

If that is the rule, it's a silly rule. But I think I've got the wrong end of the stick somewhere. As for a punter ... he's actually holding the ball in his hands, but you can't tackle him? Weird.

As for the Giants-Eagles game, I can see Baller's point. They're going to win without looking at all good, because the Giants are committing so many goddam stupid mistakes (and despite one of their own - what sort of dumbass gets a 30-odd-yard gain chalked off for taunting the opposition about a 30-odd-yard gain?). When your team's nowhere near as good as it should be, you find yourself actually wanting them to lose, so that they'll have to ADMIT they're not good enough and do something about it.

For the punter, read what I posted earlier.

As for blocking, they practice by blocking ball sideways not towards ball. I would know, I used to play football in high school

I understand what you say the rule is; I just think it's a silly rule, if you get to him while he's still holding the ball.

Well, if you blatantly hit the kicker, yeah, you have a 15 yard penalty. But if you accidentally run into the kicker, yeah you still get a penalty, but you have a 5 yard penalty instead.

They are just trying to protect the kickers, like they try to protect the quarterback. If you think about it, roughing the kicker or roughing the passer are both 15 yard penalties, I think that there is a reason for that.

Also imagine the injuries that may occur if you were to hit a player in middle of going thru a kicking motion

Yes football is a contact sport but offensive players are preparing and ready to get hit, protect themselves. A punter on other hand can't exactly protect himself if he's focus on punting the ball just right in correct direction

Exactly, not to mention the holder is just kneeling there wide open for a hit, and cannot move, because if he does, then it is free to tackle him.

Didn't see the game, I was watching CFL playoffs but there are 2 penalties in this case. There is incidental contact which carries a 5 yard penalty and roughing the kicker which carries a 15 yard penalty and automatic first down.

If it is incidental and they needed more than 5 yards on 4th down anyway, they can re-kick but that is no guarantee of making it a second time.
