I have read some past posts to catch up on what I have missed, and I saw a lot of mention about other countries versus NFL and such. I am sure this will open up eyes in regards to the winners of the IFAF Senior World Championship, and that the US is not always the winner, and not always in the finals.

I think the bears just became a longshot since Cutler is out for the rest of the season and will have surgery today to repair a broken thumb which will probably include a capsulotomy and possible pinning.

I had a similar injury on D 1,2,3 and 4. My golf club still flies further than my golfball at times, lol.

Jesus....the fact that its not a state record made me think what is the national record for high schools. I want niners to draft him way into future if akers retire any time soon in next 5 years

According to Wikipedia (which is all I can be bothered to look at) the national high school record is indeed 64 yards, set by this guy.

The NCAA record is 67 yards, done four times; the all-time record for any form of the game is a 69-yard field goal by Ove Johansson of the Abilene Christian University Wildcats.

If ever the NFL record is to go above 63 yards, look for it to happen in Denver.

I'm not even sure who their kicker is right now, I certainly didn't mean him specifically.

As you say, it's the altitude. Being five thousand feet above sea level will, in and of itself, send your kick about five yards further than it would have gone otherwise. People who can kick 60 yards at sea level, can kick 65 yards in Denver.

 

Meaning we can toss a midget 5 yards farther than usual?

 

Calgary is the highest major city in Canada and I have seen guys kick 75+ yard field goals in practice.
