  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Coal may be a poor choice but it is one we made many years ago. Before we stop using it we should have something to replace it.
We can't get rid of all of the coal plants with nothing to replace them. That is a very good example of how the govt. works.
Looks like the south is in for a huge population explosion.

A coal plant can convert to natural gas like most home owners here in the mid-west did years ago. The problem is that the government won't allow the pipelines to be installed fast enough. Remember that coal is usually transported by rail.

You are very wrong. It would cost much less to build a new gas fired plant than it would to change a coal plant over to gas. Just think for a minute about all of the things that would have to be changed.

Look at all of the new construction jobs! (Except for all of the environmentalist concerns trying to stop new construction.)

Conversion might be the only option, regardless the cost.

There will not be any conversions of coal plants to gas plants. You would not even be able to use the same building.

Well he's right, Nuclear is the most efficient but everyone's too damn scared of a melt down.

As far as coal mining being too dangerous maybe in the south up north here we strip mine. We scrape the top off down to the coal then we set 1/4 mile of charges and blow the vain apart.
Coal mining up here happens right along side oil drilling.

Actually most coal plants cannot change to natural gas. Only the larger, newer coal plants can be converted, and they are in the minority. Many of the older plants are slated to be replaced by new plants with some flexibility in fuel choices.

Looks to me that Australia's current hard right government has more sense than you do.

Climate change legislation is a bunch of bullshit, if you really want to look at a serious problem, that will affect people for several generations to come,, take a good solid look at what the FDA allows in foods, as far as I am concerned,, there and there alone is the demise of a healthy civilization, not that political bullshit global warming.

I doubt you'll be so sanguine about climate change in 50 years. Oh wait, you'll probably be dead by then.

    Listen up you skippy leftist, CLIMATE CHANGE has been around sense the first day this planet had a climate;

    cli·mate

    [klahy-mit] Show IPA
noun 1. the composite or generally prevailing weather conditions of a region, as temperature, air pressure, humidity, precipitation, sunshine, cloudiness, and winds, throughout the year, averaged over a series of years.

Therefor, climate change will not have an adverse affect on this planet, it never has, and it never will, but you yo-yo leftists keep on talking your bullshit, people in this country DO NOT see it as an important issue, now that they have the facts, and now that they understand that it is a political agenda, based on a perpetual lie.

See the post by Ridgerunner about the poll that showed 63% would be prepared to pay an extra $20 for carbon reduction.

you wouldnt be paying anything more to the government because the US government is not in the business of energy production and distribution you would be paying the money to an already federally subsidized utility company

and most americans would pay a few dollars per month more because there is still areas of this nation where renewables are not allowed
in most of california rain water collection was and may still be illegal
solar panels are illegal in historic districts and most neighbor hoods are not welcoming wind turbines because they are not pretty

personally the power companies can kiss my ass because i have enough solar and wind energy that i produce to run my entire house and the work shop plus we sell some to the reliant energy
they used to pay about 3x what they do now but at least i dont have to pay them anything

    POLLS,,,POLLS,,,POLLS,,you like polls,, let me show you this poll, this poll shows us how informed Americans truly are;

[h=2]42% Of Americans Don’t Know Obamacare Is Law[/h]
Its a sad day in the U.S., our society has a very hard time with grasping and getting a good hold with reality, RR's poll suggests to me that those that answered that new poll, have no idea what they were answering.

To me and what I have seen with polls, polls do not reflect reality.

You can chew on all the polls you want, they are irrelevant to me.

when 23% of that 42% does not know the status of the law to begin with that alone invalidates the "outsidethebeltway" findings
hell most in kentucky thing kynect is wonderful yet hate the ACA and do not understand that they are the same fucking thing
then you have that 23% that believe that it was repealed because of the 50+ lawsuits filed by republicans at a cost of well over $1million per case
and the 7% that are so fucking ignorant to believe that the supreme court struck it down are the few that still have no form of formal education due to the defunding of public schools
if the roll out was such a failure why in the fuck has it been successful?

Obamacare has not been a success, it has only been portrayed a success,, it is been a failure from the word go,, a failure from the day it was passed, strictly passed by one impotent political party.

since the results have proven your opinion incorrect id defy you to provide solid and evidence numbers to disprove the thought that it has not been a failure for anyone other than the insurers and the political right pundants
