  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Okay, try to have it both ways if you'd like.

But, in the meantime, you and the "Occupiers" are guarding the hen house while the fox is inside, having a feast.

Ha! The entire right-wing noise machine is geared up en masse to ridicule them nonstop. I think they hit a nerve.

Nope but its going to rein those speculators in at least a little bit and I'm betting these are just the beginning of other much needed reforms at a time when the right wing noise machine is being forced to play defense instead of cheer-leading for Wall Street.

And hopefully we can remedy things like traders trading 20% more oil than actually exists.

Oh we're marching in the right places, which if tenguy had bothered to look is actually many places with one central theme: We're not blind fools. We are here to talk the people who have purchased our government to tell them no more.

And the longer the movement goes the more people will become aware of what the real problems are and people will begin to see their government as a solution instead of a problem and we can change some things.

I've been wondering the same things. The protesters are in the right place, and since I see they've solicited information and survival tips on winter camping I guess they plan to stay. But unless its an authentic Native American Teepee and you know how it works winter camping is a bitch and a soggy creeping cold bitch at that. Its also actually real live physical work as well.

But who knows maybe some of them are mountaineers.

Attacking our financial institutions though are the right place to take these protests. We pumped about $18 Trillion into their pockets because of their greed and corruption and what do they do? Try to move right on to looting social security and raising taxes on the poor and middle class. Its all coming out of the top 1% and its time we called a bullshit on them.

Boy howdy Kimi. Someone found a few words of support from someone in the Nazi party and they are claiming Nazi connections. The communist party says Occupy Wall Street is a good idea and all of a sudden they are Nazi and Communists. Plus being anti-Semitic, violence prone, anarchists. That also are totally insignificant and meaningless spoiled brats.

The entire right wing false propaganda machine has gone into hysterical as my old grandma mode.

Of course the mainstream media is only slightly better. As someone pointed out the mainstream media is in "circus" mode over the protests, "but then the only two buttons on their dial are ignore and circus."

    Talk about contridictory statements.

"We are here to talk to the people who have purchased our government..."

"...and the people will see their government as a solution......."

Which government is that Stumbles? The one that the corporations has purchased?? You know, the one that you don't think needs changing.

Get the people in Congress to stop coddling the special interests, force campaign reform, force tax code reform, force financial regulation reform, we can really only do this by kicking the fat cats out of Washington, not by asking those who are buying them to stop.

Job 4:8 "Whenever I saw those who plowed wickedness and planted misery, they gathered its harvest"

Funny...this article indicates that the rich are starting to get kinda paranoid about thier prospects. If it were true that they are blamelss and have done nothing but good, why would they feel compelled to step up thier personal security?

    http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Protests-Are-a-Payday-for-nytimes-150438655.html?x=0

Hmmmm....maybe they are afraid that the games they have been playing are starting to catch up to them?

    Or maybe not....

Umm... Godwin's Law is quite interesting. Yeah, I'm so happy too that a liberal democrat made the comparison. ;)

Ok... Here's a little background on Godwin's Law's corollaries and usage, if you don't know. If you know, no offense intended.

"There are many corollaries to Godwin's law, some considered more canonical (by being adopted by Godwin himself) than others. For example, there is a tradition in many newsgroups and other Internet discussion forums that once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever debate was in progress. This principle is itself frequently referred to as Godwin's law. It is considered poor form to raise such a comparison arbitrarily with the motive of ending the thread. There is a widely recognized corollary that any such ulterior-motive invocation of Godwin's law will be unsuccessful."

I think its because the false ideology of the right and the propaganda they use to promote it and manipulate people have reached critical mass and there's no way for the rich to keep getting richer without constantly lowering the standard of living for average Americans. And Americans have put up with a enough of that and intend to make that clear to the top 1%.

I see Occupy/99%ers as kind of a line in the sand when the top 1% tried to grab social security and lower our standard of living again. And so I don't know how much influence their money can buy when conservative/Republican/Tea Party is running more scared than the rich are.

    Who is running scared?

The Democrats have received far more cash from Wall Street than the Republicans. Seven of the richest Senators are Democrats, their combined net worth is almost $1 billion. More Democrats than Republicans are millionaires in the House.

lol Uh huh... The liberal democrats are pretending to be real sympathetic to the OWS protesters in an attempt to swing the 2012 votes. You bet, when people think a little more about this hypocrisy that you mentioned - how are they going view it? I would expect probably with anger and it most likely will drive them away from the liberal democrat morons.

Oh yeah... Those liberal democrats are going to get burned by playing that card. Honestly, what are the fools thinking in trying to swing an angry mob for votes? Pfft... Fools.

Ah, yeah... It gets better in that there is more discontent in the United States with Washington right now than Wall Street and Washington is getting more of the blame.

"Would it not be a bit odd for a protest movement to 'Occupy Wall Street' while simultaneously devoting itself to keeping Wall Street’s most lavishly funded politician in power?"

    Foolish liberal democrats... :rose:

Oh, Stumbler... You and Kimmi lost the debate. You have no logical arguments supporting your blame on conservatives. Yeah, you even proved you're done via Godwin's Law. :rose:

    The little red hen.

“Once upon a time there was a little red hen who scratched about the barnyard until she uncovered some grains of wheat. She called her neighbors and said, “If we plant this wheat, we shall have bread to eat. Who will help me plant it?”
“Not I,” said the cow. “Not I ,” said the duck. “Not I,” said the pig. “Not I,” said the goose. “Then I will,” said the little red hen, and she did. The wheat grew tall and ripened into golden grain.

“Who will help me reap my wheat?” asked the little red hen. “Not I,” said the duck. “That’s out of my classification,” said the pig. “I’d lose my seniority,” said the cow. “I’d lose my unemployment compensation,” said the goose. “Then I will,” said the little red hen, and she did.

At last it came time to bake the bread. “Who will help me bake the bread?” asked the little red hen. “That would be overtime for me,” said the cow. “I’d lose my welfare benefits,” said the duck. “If I’m to be the only helper, that would be discrimination,” said the goose. “Then I will,” said the little red hen. She baked five loaves and held them up for her neighbors to see. They all wanted some. In fact they demanded a share. But the little red hen said, “No, I can eat the five loaves myself.”

“Excess profits,” yelled the cow. “Capitalist leech,” cried the duck. “I demand equal rights,” shouted the goose. The pig just grunted. Then the others hurriedly painted picket signs and marched around, shouting obscenities.

The government agent came and said to the little red hen, “You must not be greedy.”

“But I earned the bread,” said the little red hen. “Exactly,” said the agent. “This is the wonderful free enterprise system. Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much as he wants. But, under government regulations, the productive workers must divide their products with the idle.”

They all lived happily ever after. But the little red hen’s neighbors wondered why she never again baked bread.”

From the book, “Developing the Leaders Around You” by John Maxwell. Thanks to Paul Eikeland.

I know I've said this before but one thing I really like about the Occupy Wall Street/99%er movement is that while they may be youthful in many ways they are also smart and have internet and media savvy that has so far served them well.

And I think that is something demonstrated with the movement's new ad. Even the idea of fighting misinformation with their own advertisements is something I didn't expect. But its even more encouraging to see a really slick production that's obviously designed to negate the stereotypes being falsely applied to them and their movement.

I guess I'm just not used to protesters that when pushed go Madison Avenue on your ass to fight Wall Street.
