In Europe, while the Soviets continued their stranglehold on Berlin by making final pushes into the city, US First Army captured Solingen and Wuppertal, Germany. Allied forces liberated POW and concentration camps within Germany, some with less than optimum outcomes. Allied aerial bombings were stopped after one final campaign.

In the Pacific, US forces continued new land assaults on Okinawa, Japan while kamikazes continued their attacks on the US Fifth Fleet, sinking a destroyer and damaging numerous other vessels, including a near miss on USS Missouri.

On April 17, 1970, James A. Lovell, Jr., Fred W. Haise, Jr., and John L. Swigert, Jr. returned safely to Earth in Odyssey, the Apollo 13 command module, after four days of tense maneuvers and jerry-rigging their on-board life support after the explosion of an oxygen tank had severely crippled the spacecraft.

The Bay of Pigs invasion begins. The operation, backed by the U.S., was launched by Cuban exiles with the intent of overthrowing the Castro government. As the U.S. did not give adequate military support, it was a complete failure, resulting in Cuba's pro-Soviet alliance which later caused, in part, the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962.

On April 18, 1775, Paul Revere made his famous ride. Many people think that Longfellow's poem 'The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere' is an accurate accounting, but it is not.

There were originally two riders who set out to alert Samuel Adams and John Hancock that 700 British troops were on their way to arrest them in Concord (the two men were actually in Lexington) - they were NOT warning the general populace of an impending attack. William Dawes joined Revere in Mystic Village (now Medford), and they were later joined by a third man, Dr, Samuel Prescott.

Most likely none of them yelled "The British are coming!", because all three men were technically British citizens living in America. So... like they were going to yell "We're coming?"

Longfellow also doesn't recount that all three men were arrested by the Redcoats after the ride.

In Europe, US Ninth Army captured Magdeburg, Germany while elements of US Third Army crossed into Czechoslovakia. The Soviets penetrated defensive lines within the city of Berlin itself.

In the Pacific, noted war correspondent Ernie Pyle was killed on Ie Shima off Okinawa, Japan.

On April 19, 1927, Actress Mae West was sentenced to 10 days in jail and fined $500. She had been convicted of obscenity and 'corrupting the morals of youth' with her portrayal of a prostitute in the Broadway play 'Sex', which she also wrote.

Previously, she had been popular in live shows, but the notoriety and fame which was generated by her arrest and sentencing sent her straight to Hollywood, where she became the highest paid star of the time. Her stardom soon went international.

i was a kid when seeing those images on tv. i guess many here still remembers what happened in those 2 tragic historic and ,.. weird dates..
These were in 1995 and 1993 right? OKC bombing... perpetrated by a guy very angry about WACO texas...

I admit i was shocked to know that this took place in america before 9 11 and before okc (which EVEN TODAY i sincerelly don't understand it might have something to do with something called patcom, but nah thats probably too much weed and alex jones.. i mean, a 26 yro dude sends threath and hate mail through firearms sales/fair?/show? exhibition? omg... and yeah the whole '90s. 10 years fighting white supremacists and "conspiracy theorists"... and in the last 2 years we've seen training financing and sending "white supremacists" to fight one of america's most planned, anticipated moves (not my fault if think tanks like to brag about "plans" "agendas" "drills" and "projects"... , financing them to "fight for democracy in ukraine" and unprecedently *(if not part of the plan) sinking US debt and de-industrializing europe. make life "looks cheaper than a lame videogame" apathetic. and not only that . a whole lotta stuff happening inbetween so much info so much stuff you can barely keep up let alone believe into anything.... Anyway, if some countries with HIGHER homicide rate per person had the same laws and "guarantees" such as "the right of self defense and to bear arms against tiranny".. (but without the basic knowledge and culture of firearms.. like, "its not a toy, but its not a monster either, it is something important and not everyone can have it or is ready to have it. (like , can anyone jump on the seat of nuclear submarine and start messing around? or drive a 18 wheeler truck without ever before seating behind a drivers seat? yeah you have education and culture about all this firearms issue... in some countries most people i've met who said owned firearms admitted they obtained without "all the papers in order". even though they're not "prone to violent criminal behaviour. but acknowledged that $$$$$ jumps legal barriers.." But what about the issue itself? After watching some documentaries (not netflix crap) and reviewing historical events and trends.. also "historical figures and their letters which became target of such "conspiracies"...

First of all it would be plain hypocrisy to not wish those souls to rest in place (if such thing is possible, since apparently here, it wasnt). for the victims and children in OKC bombing , as well to the black cop who was "feeling what a true real-life-non-fictionBS american hero should feel like, saving lives, not taking them" (it is said the guy killed himself.... based on the coroner's report. i don't think so." also, victims especially the children and elderly,, and those 8 who survived.. (even though "charges of conspiracy against federal agents" have been dropped.. they got like 40 years... so, living most of your life inprisonmed. even if you stand on your beliefs (hehe i DO THINK, there's something seriously wrong with america central banks 1871 act occultism esoterism UN blablabla (too much weed and conspiracy theories? lol... i imagine in the 80s.. people listening to bill cooper "the hour of the time" on AM/FM ..... maybe its pure nostalgia or the paranoia from 50 years ago is about to prophetize,.,, (blablablabla I know i know TOO LONG... DIDNT READ) and the 4 ATF agents who unfortunately, died.. but think, if that cult wanted to kill everyone,,, why was the atf "stunned... retreating while "suppressing fire with the last mag" carrying wounded comrades or walking with their hands up.. empty mags.. empty chamber .. hoping to be "spared"

(and in fact. if you watch waco:revelations, the series of investigations that took place 2 years later... the blame-game.. the "where has the evidence flown to?" "under whose orders ?" that kind of thing...

some weeks ago i duuno why i got hooked up by old tapes, recordings.. and "remembered" all that stuff (in fact got to know actually) what really went on by the 51th day of siege in waco texas. agencies fighting ver "who deals best with the situation"..... psychological warfare .... even the Delta Force and 7 Bradleys, several UH-60s choppers ... (nah i've heard that netflix came up with a documentary but i don't watch that crap. i watched the "new revelation" and the "rules of engagement"... but heck, i don't like when a documentary is biased almost like advertising. "new revelations" seems to get the "whole picture"... and the people you see talking are the ones in "control" of that country. Of course there's the supposed motivation for OKC (i was what 5 years old when that happened dude... but i remember all over the tv even though i couldnt understand. a couple years after waco. the stack of "missing evidence". tampering with scene. The fact that the govt was "making a point, sendin a message" to whosoever wants to live a "different" life and develop "self sustainability" and a huge arsenal, doesn't exactly "justify what the founding fathers" of the usa had in mind. well. point is: if they were willing to destroy evidence that anyone can watch. What else can they do "to make a statement?"

i think guns are that critical for americans (humankind in general, as tools, but unlike americans most of the world's civilians aren't educated with that. most never had to pick up arms (IN LEGITIMATE SELF DEFENSE, not regime change or democracy export).. but unfortunately . not only because its their second ammendment. But rather than regardless if a "community can exist self sufficiently without the state" (which is the case in areas where crime is compared to a parallel system, therefore if you live there, you play a role even as a citizen, in such places, although drug dealing and all crazy stuff happens. people aren't allowed to draw attention/commit crimes" (appart from the "subtle" ones... like drug dealing and packin banned firearms without visible serial numbers) - as ugly as it can be.. people tend "to fall in line with the rules". So the issue is whether a group of people regardless of belief, political view, religion, personal details such as "favorite kind of porn" or (trends/cookies/algorithms) what really scares goverments and establishments is a scenario where people can organize themselves and bear firearms with training. I don't know it was "that easy" to do the same thing koresh did that pissed the atf.. *(go to a firearms sale??? wtf ? i never imagined this,. buy spare parts.. (of course something shady... but then, i don't think the people who sold automatic receivers that could modify ARs from semi to full-auto were thinking that those guys were preparing themselves for the "armies of babylon" - ironically it seems like "the armies of babylon" or at least something disproportionally larger, brutal, and with the plain intent to "wrap up the whole thing and call it a day"

Interesting how the alphabet inc. studied and exploited religious aspects of several sects of islam in order to infiltrate and "unite everyone" against the commies, establish the ,mujahideen (later known as taliban, which for 20 years costed USA lives and money, Medals surely can't help a person live "normally" after doing "whatever is that they were doing" nevertheless, fighting the guys they used to arm and train... and a huge amount of weapons and training. these guys became so organized they took back not only the country while were learning how to fly american choppers. maybe mess around with windows (i don't think they're into cyberwarfare thing. mnujahidden are too religious-driven, unlike isis. anyway. I'm sure helluva lot of crazy things are happening and happened in 19/march. From adolf hitler to CSR ,.. but truly intriguing is history echoing...

Who can think of these days as one of the most significant in modern history? because of the obvious linear chain of events that had taken place even before 93 ? first i heard it started with ruby ridge (which didnt happen april 19th, but 7 years later, there was the arkansas CSR . then there was that sierra one sniper who wasn't even supposed to be there. after that, "fertilizer van" explodes in the wtc parking lot. but that was in 88 right? so "binladen" whoemever he may be, was "in business with the cia" or the british...

Thinking back... in 95. that guy timothy alone didn't even measure the parking lot entrance's height (hence he stopped and left the truck on parked on the street. since it couldnt enter the building through parking lot... so how come he managed to pull everything off? or at least be the "mastermind?" ive seen some petty criminals walk away with infinite cynicism and denial.. unlike he, who was bragging about it (so much that only the cops, who had already busted him for something non related.. they were chasing "john doe 1 john doe 2" what?

also, he died very quickly. I remember a Stalinist-like leader applying death penalties to POWs saying "there's no date for the execution yet. we will decide but later. The worst thing about the death penalty, is not dying. we all know we are going to die someday. the real suffering is not knowing when, but when every day standing behind bars waiting for this to happen, it can take months, years, decades. perhaps the person may go crazy and commit suicide before then. out of anxiety"

Yeah. that sounds pretty much about what's about. the "expectation". "Knowing that from now on, you're locked and death is the only way out, but you dont know when.... just that it'll be a show people will watch etc etc"

that's insane. he was quickly convicted, confessed plead guilty etc. And is very weird how come minor details such as (not knowing if the truck would fit the parking lot height. driving a car without license plates. carrying a concealed handgun and acting like any fool who gets busted and doesnt see it coming acts, not like a war veteran cold blooded strategist. not to mention the cop who saved a lot of civilians earned a medal., was happpy as hell, and turned up dead? i mean, even if he had an existencial crisis and felt that life meant nothing for him after that day, it doesnt explain how he managed to cut his own wrists, neck , shoot himself in the chin, then after that "drag his own dead body though the grass (forensic analysis suggests that grass and mud found in teeth and fingernails of the already deceased person.

Somebody there mentioned the bay of pigs attempted invasion. you know that stuff could have gone a lot worse than it was

But tell me. since early 1900s the USA owns that part of the island? where today looks like a small town.. theres burger king there , mc donalds, coca cola, like, a complete full all american military base with civilians living ( i don't think you'd join the marines to flip burgers in cuba..) but anyway, History is shady and i've typed more than enough anyone would care to read. but that's it. The point here is regardless of "republican or democrat" ... like that old thomas jefferson quote :

"Wonderful is the effect of impudent and persevering lying. The British ministry have so long hired their gazetteers to repeat and model into every form lies about our being in anarchy, that the world has at length believed them, the English nation has believed them, the ministers themselves have come to believe them, and what is more wonderful, we have believed them ourselves. Yet where does this anarchy exist? Where did it ever exist, except in the single instance of Massachusets? And can history produce an instance of a rebellion so honourably conducted? I say nothing of it’s motives. They were founded in ignorance, not wickedness. God forbid we should ever be 20. years without such a rebellion. The people can not be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. We have had 13. states independant 11. years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half for each state. What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure. Our Convention has been too much impressed by the insurrection of Massachusets: and in the spur of the moment they are setting up a kite to keep the hen yard in order. I hope in god this article will be rectified before the new constitution is accepted."

I understand theres been a lot heated discussion around american politics since,.. ever.. but hey you have the advantage of:

1- having english as native language REALLY helps a lot you don't need to learn it as a second language, instead, preserve it. The biggest database of information available is written in english,

2- and you have only 2 parties (although i understand how difficult it is sometimes to "tell one from the other".. they might have come as "1 concept who changed throught time , and affected people differently than others (not everyone interpret the same book the same way, but people who stick togheter tend to think they share a mutual understanding.

Yeah i'm not coming here to "school" anyone into anything.. who am i?

lets not pretend everything is really bad (at least hope ?) I don't think empires "accepted defeat" and "walked away". what history suggests.. (the ruins i mean)

    For economists. its the apocalypse
For american people, i think it must be hard to survive , i mean the cost of life became simply unaffordable for the average person, and i mean, the "average person" already struggles a lot. but is it real what people are saying ? like, they getting jobless. homeless, cashless.. What "optimistical scenario" do you see? ( i dont wanna spark a pointless discussion, theres plenty point of views. as an outsider , i can only "read what the establishment allows". I know there's some smart people here who discuss with arguments, at least i think over the years i've seen some "almost polite" disagreements.. let's say, "mature".. non-childish..

but then again, i never commented, what do i have to say? do i have the right to say? do you think you still have the first and 10th ammendment? ( and what i had previously said backfires...)

19 of april seems to be an interesting date... all around.. but it remembers also a a decade of "information warfare/psyops/wetworks/inside-jobs/special-ops/satanic sacrifices or whatever you wanna call it.
