  3. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

On January 12, 1974, Ian Thomas' "Painted Ladies" hit #34. That was it AND the ballgame.

Anthony Perkins hit #24 in October, 1957. No more hits made him a 'psycho'.

    ROVER BOYS "Graduation Day"

The Beach Boys covered this. Beach Boys = popular. Rover Boys = one hit & obscurity.

HELMUT ZACHARIAS (really) had a hit with "When The White Lilacs Bloom Again" in 1956 (#12). Understandably, there were no more hits.

Lolita (Ditta) was a German nurse. For some reason, she was signed by Kapp records. She did have one hit, with "Sailor" (#5 on December 19, 1960). Go figure.

    R. Dean Taylor made a splash with "Indiana Wants Me", which reached #5 on November 11, 1970. Nobody wanted anything else.

While Dukes of Hazzard/Smallville actor John Schneider had three other songs crack the Top 100, only one sneaked into the Top 40 (which is the 'hit' standard).

"It's Now Or Never" (otherwise known as "O Solo Mio"), a hit for Elvis Preseley was covered by Schneider in 1981 and managed to reach #14.

The Royaltones, out of Dearborn, Michigan, released about a dozen singles over about four years. Only one, "Poor Boy" reached the Top 40. Topping out at #17 in December, 1957, here it is:

The Village Stompers made it all the way up to #2 with "Washington Square" on November 23, 1963 (the day after JFK was assassinated).

They had nothing left after that.

The Sylvers had 2 Top 40 hits, taking them out of the running.....BUT, Foster Sylvers, as a solo act only had 1.....

"Misdemeanor" hit #22 in July, 1973

A video of the record, since Foster was underage at the time

Reaching #1 on February 10, 1968, Paul Mauriat's "Love Is Blue" held that spot for 5 weeks. He never smelled the Top 40 again.

Nick Todd saw stars in December, 1957 when "At The Hop" reached #21.

He's still seeing stars (but not himself)

Pink Lady hit #37 with "Kiss In The Dark" on August 4, 1979.

    After that, everything was dark.

"Rosie Lee" was the song that did it for The Mello-Tones. The date was May 8, 1957 when the tune hit #24. It was all much too Mellow for the Tones after that.....

September 8, 1984 was the date that Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers hit their "Big Time" peak at #26 with "We Need Some Money". There were no other hits.

Well, nearly 59 years ago today (December, 1959, to be exact), the famous (to themselves) band, DANCER, PRANCER & NERVOUS hit #34 with "The Happy Reindeer". No more happy times for those guys.

Early in 1963, The Earls made it big with "Remember Then", which reached #24. They had two more singles enter the Top 100, but nothing else made the Top 40.

The #28 song on the Billboard Singles Chart on October 10, 1959 was "High School U.S.A.". Facenda had been with Gene Vincent's band, but went solo in 1958. As a solo artist, "High School U.S.A." was it.
