  3. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

TODAY IS MY 11th ANNIVERSARY ON THE FORUM and, AS USUAL, I WILL TRY TO MAKE AT LEAST ONE POST IN EACH OF MY THREADS.

July 22, 1978 was the day that "Thank God It's Friday" by Love and Kisses peaked. No more Fridays (0r any other hit days) for them.

SANFORD CLARK hit it big with "The Fool", which reached #7 on September, 22, 1956. Nothing else came close.

There are only a handful of puppets that ever broke into the Top 40 (well, one).

Poor ERNIE's only hit was the masterful "Rubber Duckie" from 1970, which made it to #16.

The theme song from the briefly popular TV show, "The Greatest American Hero" ("Believe It Or Not") made Joey Scarbury a ONE HIT WONDER in 1981.

The #6 song on May 5, 1958 was "Chanson d'Amour" by Art & Dotty Todd. Not familiar household names? That is because they faded into obscurity immediately after.

The Secrets' "The Boy Next Door" proved to be magic for them in 1963. Right around this time, 55 years ago, the tune reached #18. Unfortunately, the magic was gone and no more hits followed.

Janis Joplin is a household name and in three years had built a tremendous reputation. However, she only managed one Top 40 hit, with Kris Kistofferson's "Me & Bobby McGee", a #1 single on March 20, 1971.

A QUICK REMINDER: THESE ARE "ONE-HIT WONDERS" from the U.S. OVERALL SINGLES CHARTS (Some of these artists had multiple hits on the R&B, Adult Contemporary, Country and other charts, but those songs did not sell enough to reach the OVERALL Top 40)

Greg Guidry wrote numerous songs for other artists, but, for himself, he only managed one Top 40 hit: "Goin' Down" (#17, May 1, 1982)

I have three albums by Flash and they are all very good. The band, however, was not at all a "singles" oriented group. Surprisingly, they did have one Top 40 hit (#29, August, 1972) with "Small Beginnings". Here is the full, album version. The single was cut way down to three minutes, which actually caused it to lose most of its impact.

Richie Havens (who covered a number of songs by The Beatles) had his only hit with "Here Comes The Sun" in 1971 (#16, May 22)

    T. Rex had umpty-teen Top 20 hits in the U.K., but only ONE number reached the Top 40 in the U.S.

1972's "Bang A Gong (Get It On)" reached #10 in March.

"Cry To Me" by Betty Harris made the Top 40, peaking at #23 (11/16/1963). She had two other tunes make it into the Top 100, but nothing else close to the Top 40.
