In what appears to be nothing more than a traffic accident, a Van in London smashed into a crowd of Muslims.

Oh well, this is just part and parcel of living in a big city.

It would be a sad commentary if this turns out to be an act of revenge but we will have to wait for further reports.

My condolences to the victims though as they were just worshippers leaving a mosque ... BUT this place does have ties to terrorists but they are trying to clean that up and shed that association !!!

Man Arrested After Driving Van Over ‘Muslims’ in North London
A man is shown being arrested near Finsbury Park after his white van drove into people, claimed to be Muslims. The incident happened outside a mosque near Seven Sisters Road. According to reports, people were leaving Finsbury Park Mosque when a driver crashed into them.

According to one witness, bystanders confronted the driver and held him until the police came. According to the BBC, one person has been arrested and “a number of casualties” have been confirmed.


The act is not yet confirmed to be deliberate. One witness told LBC, “It looked like he had lost control of the van or something.”

Two recent car rammings in New York and Amsterdam were not terrorism-related but due to the negligence of intoxicated drivers.


The Muslims had been taking part in Ramadan services. Some witnesses claim that the victims were Muslims taking part in Tarawih, extra prayers performed by Sunni Muslims at night during the the month of Ramadan.

Al Qaeda operatives attended Finsbury Park Mosque, reports The Independent. Abu Hamza al-Masri was its former imam and was a preacher of militant Islamism.

The BBC writes about the mosque, “Finsbury Park Mosque has long been synonymous with the worst fears about Islamist extremism in Britain. The mosque’s new leadership have been struggling to reclaim it for the local community” following the arrest of al-Masri in 2004. al-Masri is serving a life sentence at an American federal supermax prison in Colorado.

One witness said a man jumped out of the van and stabbed someone.

 

Another witness said there were three men in the van. He said one was arrested and two ran away.

I have just heard on our 24 hour news.

One person has died and eight others injured.

There was no knife attacks and the driver has been taken into custody.

The anti-terrorist police are investigating.
