I prefer polyfidelity over polygamy.
Polygamy implies one being dominant and served by others, usually one man and a number of women.
Polyfidelity is all the partners are equal within the group and free to have sex with anyone from within the group,the focus is not just on pleasing one person.

 

I, personally (and many women I've encountered) can't stand the company of other women for more than an hour or two (and even then, I'm usually happy to leave). A lot of women are attracted to drama and, barring it's existence, will CREATE drama just to entertain themselves. So I'd HATE having another woman in my house. Much less 2 or 3 more. I don't want "girl time". If anything, it's my husband who wants "guy time". Good luck getting that when you have to spend quality time with your 2-4 wives!

And NEWSFLASH... when we say we're too tired for sex because of all the chores, it's usually a lie. Either we're punishing you for NOT HELPING with the chores or we just don't wanna have sex with you cause it's the same old same old or we already had BOB (Battery Operated Boyfriend) help us out while you were at work or playing xbox all day. I would say one in every 10-20 times I say I'm "too tired" for sex it's actually that I'm too tired. And usually those are the times when I tell him "just go ahead, just don't expect me to participate." It gets him off my back and I know he'll roll over and go to sleep right after which means *I* can sleep instead of spending the next 20 minutes explaining WHY I'm too tired to have sex.

So, I think your pretense for why it would work out is waaaaaaaaaaaay off. And I also think you're only thinking about this in terms of how it benefits you. But not at all considering what it'd be like to be in a house with 3 women on the rag at the same time. Or dealing with a fight when two decide that the 3rd is being favored. Or when they team up against you on a household decision. Or when they just plain spend all your money on clothes and hair appts and god knows what else. I mean good luck kicking back and watching the game with a beer after work or on sunday night when there's a "tiff" going on. Or even when they're getting along. How do you think you'll ever win on a vote on what to watch when it's 3 on one for Lifetime Network? lol.

yeah. if you actually READ my original post I said "HUSBANDS" not "PARTNERS" as it IS illegal to have more than one husband. I never said anything about it being illegal to have more than one sexual partner. Nor do I object to either. To each their own (so long as it doesn't involve marrying/partnering off underage girls and whatnot).

Maybe you should pay attention to what people say and not react to what you think they meant to say.

 

Like somebody else said: polygamy makes me cringe. To actually think there are women out there that stoop to that level is disgusting and labeling women in society as weak and submissive. Joseph Smith, the "prophet" of the LDS church even said that if men found more than one woman pleasing to the eye than why not marry her too? AND (and this is the fucked up part) if under age women (girls) were pleasing to the eye then men have every right to take them as wives as well. To think things like that happened in our country is totally revolting and also to think there are actually men and women who not only permit but APPROVE of such behavior is horrendous. God said man is to take one woman and one woman only as his own. I'm not trying to get into a big debate about the Mormon religion or anything but polygamy is just one of those issues I'm totally against and yes I will stand up for my beliefs and all those poor girls who are being objectified by the LDS church. SOMEONE has to.

 

Actually, not to be argumentative, but God does not say that. In fact, many of the chosen men of God through the O.T. were known polygamists. The idea of monogamy actually came around with the rise of the Roman Empire, and later, the Roman Catholic church. Even in the early United States, polygamy was practiced, and is still practiced in many places throughout the world. Only as a result of the corruption of the Joseph Smith and the mormons, did American start outlawing the principle.
