    'Mother of All Bombs,' in Afghanistan

    The U.S. military has dropped its largest non-nuclear bomb in Afghanistan, CNN reported Thursday, in an attack targeting ISIS in the province of Nangarhar.

    According to the CNN report, this was the first combat use of the bomb, Massive Ordnance Air Blast, also known as MOAB or "Mother of All Bombs".

    The number of casualties was not immediately clear. The U.S. military said it was assessing the damage, CNN reported.

    According to CNN reporter David Wright, the target was ISIS tunnels and personnel in Achin district. He added that the bomb was dropped by an MC-130 aircraft, operated by the Air Force Special Operations Command.

    21,000 pounds and a 1 mile blast radius....

    Target was a system of ISIS tunnel network.............
