Donald Trump is not stupid, but his lower income white supporters are. Evidence of their stupidity can be seen in the way they believe he will restore the low skill, well paid and unionized jobs they depended on to make decent incomes.

Trump is a skilled con man who has thrived by telling dupes what they want to believe. He knows that stupid people resent intelligent discourse, so he pretends to be as stupid and poorly educated as his targets are.

 

Anyone who can build a 10 billion dollar multinational corporation has to be intelligent. I have lived in NJ most of my life and have watched him grow his company. His is a New Yorker at heart and speaks like a New Yorker does. It doesn't bother me because I grew up around it.

He took over his grandfathers busines and turned it into a multi billion dollar company. 300 million is no where near >10 billion dollars. Do we criticize others who come from wealth, who succeed in business? How about the Ford family or Kraft family? Shouldn't we then criticize them as they too came from a wealthy family?

Sorry, but I have no respect for low income people who vote for a political party that exists to make the rich richer by reducing domestic spending programs that benefit low income white Republicans.

The only thing the Republican Party really cares about is cutting taxes for the rich. Regardless of what Republican politicians talk about, that is what they do.

Low income whites rarely have health care programs at work. They cannot afford to pay health insurance out of their pay checks. Nevertheless, those low IQ fools growl on command whenever someone says "Obamacare."
