I just did a search for Blizzard and didn't find any works on the story site and only one thread started in the forums. I would bet that you could get away with re-posting some of your earlier works again.

 

Trust me, there are plenty of people out there who would remember and start complaining that I stole the stories. That's how I found out when my work was being stolen by others, because people wrote me and were like "I was reading this and recognized that this is your exact dialogue." Even if I put up a disclaimer I'd most likely still get accused of stealing.

I may still put some of them back up here at some point, but...right now I still feel a bit antsy about it.

 

Another Nomination: Henry Tabor

One of my favorite BDSM series was The Club (followed by the names Mary and/ or Beth in various combinations.)

I think it's time to explain the "list" again.

This thread was started by donb9033 many (okay, not that many) years ago. It was meant to just be a place for people to recommend their favorite authors.

In order to keep from having to look back four or five pages to find new authors to enjoy, I decided to collect all the recommendations, and since I was doing it for myself anyway, it was easy enough to go one step further and share the collection that I had made for myself. Thus the list was born.

I maintained the list for a while, posting a new copy on every new page of the thread. Then I went away for a while, but others have occasionally taken up the mantle and continued posting updated versions of the list, the latest being darthel0101. But the list still remains largely unofficial, just a summary of the posts on this thread.

So it's the mention on this thread that makes someone a recommended writer, not their presence on "the list."

For what it's worth, these are the rules I originally followed to determine who got put on the list:

1. Someone has to make a clearly positive mention of an author on this thread.

It doesn't matter how they word it, as long as it's obvious that the mention is positive. So something like, "I would recommend (insert author's name) except that..." wouldn't count because there's too much ambivalence there. But a simple "I like (insert author's name)" is enough to put the author on the list. And yes, saying "I think (insert author's name) should be on the list" is enough to put them there.

2. The recommendation can come from anyone.

There's no "panel" to determine who gets on the list. There's no voting. No nominating or seconding. All it takes is a single positive mention.

3. No self-recommendations.

A claim by an author that their stories are pretty good doesn't count as a recommendation, in my opinion. However, if another member agrees with them, that counts.

By the way, it's generally considered bad form to advertise on this thread. The Shameless Plug Thread is a much better spot for self-promotion.

4. No un-recommending.

If someone recommends an author, no one can "block" that recommendation. There doesn't need to be a consensus; the initial recommendation is sufficient to put them on the list no matter how many people disagree.

5. For each author mentioned, I included a link to their stories on the Story Site. However, if they only posted on the Stories Forum, I provided a link to any specific stories mentioned in the thread. If no specific stories were mentioned, I just looked up their latest story and linked to it.

Note that these were just the rules I followed when I was updating the list. They're no more official than the list itself, and if anyone else wants to post an updated list, they're welcome to follow whatever rules seem reasonable to them.

If you were recommended prior to September 11, then your name would appear on the above list.

To be fair, it was a little long-winded.

In short: The list is a summary of all authors recommended so far. So if you don't see your name on the latest list, then you only have to scan the posts below it to see if someone recommended you since the last time the list was updated.

 

Okay, so I'll recommend SisterSeducto as a recommended author. SisterSeducto does well with characterization, execution of dialogue, and even pace of plot.

New Writer - Starting With A BANG

Deneb has posted a series involving the recovery of a collection of "Broken Birds" - victims of not simply rape but rape which is severe enough to nearly cause death. The chapters deal with the aftereffects of the brutality and in some measure with the actual acts themselves but not as erotic material (although there is plenty of that as well).

These are a VERY good read by an excellent writer.
