at work people constantly come to me and try to give me hand outs after at least 100 no thank you's
people come to my home, they leave stuff in bathrooms about christians and its all you can find on tv on sunday. i just get sick of hearing about it sometimes, kind of like politics. can you feel me?

 

im not hear to argue only to put in my opinion. God does not interfere with ppls lives only threw miricales. we are not robots... we choice the way we live our lives and those choices will affect everything around us. you hate god because of this that have happened to you in the past but since you do not believe in god who else is there to blame.

i beleive in god or perhaps gods, meaning that i do beleive there is something greater then humans in this universe, but does he give a shit about us for more than just entertainment. i beleive not. and i find religion is something that weak minded and weak heart people created in order to feel like there is a purpose for them and a reason they are going through this shitty existance we call life. i think it is no quincedence(i can not spell) that people find religion when there are in a very low place. it is easier to let go and say god is in control and will provide rather than pull your head out of your ass and take care of yourself. and for the heads of chruch, hell ya id talk about of bullshit that can not be proven or dis proven just to get fat paid. what a life, maybe i should start my own church it would be much easier than actually being a productive member of society

I've read that mocking God will have consequences so I warned someone here to consider taking a safer avenue, questioning him is totally different. If you want to call me crazy for that I'm cool w/ it. I'd also help her if she was going to jump off a bridge as well.

Regarding the ones here that said their life has been a living hell, well mine has been as well for at least half of my life, I suffer daily now and will till the day I die from chronic pain issues. Mental anguish, BTDT as well.

Why do people suffer in this world?
One anology and thought, and probably a poor one at that is, lets say that a child is born to a rich family.

He is showered w/ affection, has all the material goods any kid could desire.
He never knows hardship, doesn't know the heartache of losing a loved one, he has it made like no one else.

By age 8 he has no respect for anyone as he's never been disiplined.
Christams he opens gifts and tosses them as if they have no meaning behind the ones that gave them. He's spoiled rotten now, appreciates nothing in life because he's never known any of the things we've endured.
He's miserable inside.

Now lets go to the child that was born into poverty, had his father die, had his pet die, has very little food to eat and appreciates anything he can get.
Christmas time he hopes just to even have anyone even think of him let alone give him something, anything would more than please him and make him overjoyed etc... .
I'd rather be this kid personally.

I can only think the afterlife that has been promised by God is going to be such a gift, and being eternal that the only way we could possibly appreciate it all is because of the suffering we've had to endure while here. That's the best sense I can possibly make out of all this chaos.

I still see alot of things going on that anger me, and still question why their allowed, but it's said that God is fair and just, so time will tell.
Cursing him however much you may disagree with him though isn't going to do anyone any good.

First off, I'd like to mention that your grammar is terrible. I don't expect it to be impeccable. But God's sake (see what I did there?) step it up. I'm assuming that since you are complaining about these things, you keep up on them in the media. Now, maybe not all the sources can spell and use proper grammar, but most can. Your profile says you're 34 years old. Please use those years of experience towards sounding like an intelligent adult instead of a 13 year old boy angrily spamming forums.

Now, about the 'religious shit'. It is true that a lot of events are blamed/credited to God. This does not mean you have to agree. If you feel someone is trying to force these ideas down your throat, you have the right to ignore them, or even ask them to stop. Media? Turn it off/change the channel/turn the page/click a different link. Easy as that.

But if you insist on having an argument (clearly not a discussion, as you obviously have no respect for religious people), here's what I think.

I do not believe in a God, but I do respect people who do. Most of them anyways. I do not believe some higher power controls things, nor that it is watching over everything. That being said, here we go.

There are a few ways you can go about being religious. You can use it to better yourself and benefit others, or you can use it as a scape goat. I'm not saying that these are the only ways people use it. These just serve my point for the moment.

The people who use it as a scape goat are usually weak minded and scared. They use God as their excuse out of any situation they don't want to own up to or take care of. I have no respect for these people.

There are religious people who use it to help better themselves and teach values and morals. All around good things.

There are also people in between. There are many varying degrees and varieties of religions. I respect most of them.

So, I do agree that God having a hand in everything is bullshit. But there is no reason to disrespect every religious person out there. I think it is immature and very ignorant of you to assume that a few people out of a group represents the whole.

I would ask that you grow up a little and have some respect, but I honestly don't think its going to happen. I still have hope though.
