2024 favorite Ron DeSantis flips deep-blue Miami-Dade county in re-election for Florida gov

First GOP gov to win in two decades.
Florida Gov. Jeb Bush became the last to-date Republican gubernatorial candidate to win Miami-Dade County in 2002.

Miami-Dade County in South Florida had a change of heart Tuesday and went red as voters supported Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis who is projected to be the first GOP governor to win the county in two decades.

The county's shift from blue to red was part of a predicted successful evening by the GOP in an effort to take back full control of Congress.

In a deep red states, you are claiming bragging rights over a blue district that goes red.

Or maybe this is just compensation for the wave of transparent crimson in the rest of the country...

I rather like DeSantis's practice of dumping illegal immigrants in enclaves of rich liberals. Georgtown, in Washington, DC is where some of the richest liberals in the United States live. I would like for DeSantis to dump several hundred illegal immigrants there every week.

Trump Invokes Ron DeSantis’ Wife to Threaten Him Over 2024 Run

Donald Trump is suggesting he will reveal damaging information about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis should he decide to challenge the former president for the Republican nomination in 2024.

“I will tell you things about him that won’t be very flattering,” Trump told The Wall Street Journal on his private jet after departing a rally in Dayton, Ohio, on Monday. “I know more about him than anybody other than perhaps his wife, who is really running his campaign.”

Trump’s discomfort with the Florida governor’s political ambitions has become increasingly palpable as the former president gears up for the launch of his third campaign for the White House. He said in Ohio that he will make a “very big announcement” at Mar-a-Lago on Nov. 15. It’s widely believed he will make his 2024 candidacy official.

Video: Stone tells DeSantis that it would be 'treachery' to run against Trump in 2024

Scroll back up to restore default view.

At a rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, Trump dubbed his potential rival “Ron DeSanctimonious.” DeSantis was also not invited to a pre-midterm rally in Miami, Florida, the following day. Rolling Stone reported in June that Trump was considering announcing his candidacy in Florida solely to “stick it” to DeSantis.

“I don’t know that he’s running,” Trump reportedly said on Monday. “I think if he runs he could hurt himself very badly.”

DeSantis has been raising a war chest full of campaign cash while traveling out of state to stump for conservative midterm candidates like Doug Mastriano. Rolling Stone has reported that Trump and members of his family have felt that DeSantis is ripping off their branding and style.

Despite all of this, Trump revealed to reporters outside a polling location in Palm Beach, Florida, that he had cast his vote for DeSantis in the race for Florida’s governorship.

I like DeSantis but I also believe this mid-term election debacle was, by design, a means to get rid of Trump. It can’t be coincidence that the red wave only happened in Florida. The MSM and the Elites would crucify Trump physically if they could get away with it. Figuratively, the media and Party "elites" ARE already crucifying him right now. It's hard to believe that, at least right now, those Republican elites backing DeSantis are people like Paul Ryan, Jen Bush, Mitch McConnell, Mike Pence, Liz Cheney, Ken Griffin, Adam Kinzinger and Mike Pompeo, along with those in the Lincoln Project. These RINOs and establishment never-Trumper Republicans have clearly found their new golden boy, and it ain't Trump.

It's also interesting that people don't seem to see this as it happens; that is, the RINOs and establishment Republicans using controlled opposition like Fox News (a supposed Conservative network owned by Liberals from Australia), to get a feud going between DeSantis and Trump. And to thus justify dumping Trump.

Unfortunately, I believe DeSantis would play ball with the establishment a lot more than would Trump.

    FJB and Fox News too

The Rupert Murdoch empire and GOP establishment are going all-out in an effort to destroy President Trump and his MAGA movement. GOP Elites HATE that they cannot control Trump. They miss the days of obedient voters and their never-ending wars and trade deals that decimated the middle class.

The GOP elites have never accepted MAGA nation. They are embarrassed by their voters. They would rather play controlled opposition than to listen to the majority of Americans who support President Trump and still believe his election was stolen.

On Thursday Rob Schmitt from Newsmax opened with a 14-minute segment on how the GOP elites, Paul Ryan, and the Murdoch empire is hoping they can destroy Trump and the pro-American movement he started.

They believe the true enemy is their voting base and not the Marxist left.

    Such rotten people.

Well, Shooter doesn't think the deplorable leadership would be willing to toss mid terms just to unload Trump.
If they truly wanted Trump out, why wouldn't they just hop on down to mar a lago and thank trump for his service and hand him his severance check?

I sincerely hope it was because moderates and independents and even republicans are finally getting fed up with Trumptards.

60 Percent Of Americans Will Have An Election Denier On The Ballot This Fall

Out of 552 total Republican nominees running for office, 199 FULLY DENIED the legitimacy of the 2020 election. These candidates either clearly stated that the election was stolen from Trump or took legal action to overturn the results, such as voting not to certify election results or joining lawsuits that sought to overturn the election

An additional 61 candidates RAISED QUESTIONS around the results of the 2020 election. These candidates haven’t gone so far as to say explicitly that the election was stolen or take legal action to overturn it. However, they haven’t said the election was legitimate either. In fact, they have raised doubts about potential fraud.

121 candidates had NO COMMENT on the 2020 election or AVOIDED ANSWERING when asked directly.

93 have ACCEPTED WITH RESERVATIONS, meaning they think President Biden won, but still raised concerns about the integrity of the election.

Another lie of conservatism as it is preached and practiced in this nation is treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans claim they are the party of law and order and the law is the law. Unless some inconvenient law puts them at some kind of political disadvantage and in that case just change the law.

Florida GOP Leaders Look to Amend State Law to Allow DeSantis to Run for President Without Resigning

Florida state legislators are discussing changing state law to allow Governor Ron DeSantis (R) to run for president without resigning from his current office.

The state’s Resign-to-Run Law was last amended in 2018. It states that elected officials seeking higher office must resign from their current post when seeking to run for another office where there might be an “overlap” in terms.

DeSantis was reelected to a second term as governor two weeks ago, and he will not be sworn in until the new year. According to Politico, Republican lawmakers are seeking another amendment to the law to ensure DeSantis keeps his current office if he decides to run for president:

Florida’s top Republican leaders say they are willing to change state law to smooth the way for Gov. Ron DeSantis to run for president in 2024.

Both House Speaker Paul Renner (R-Palm Coast) and Senate President Kathleen Passidomo (R-Naples), both of whom were sworn into their new posts on Tuesday, agreed it would be a “good idea” to make it clear that DeSantis would not have to resign if he wound up becoming the GOP nominee.

Republicans won supermajorities in Florida’s House and Senate earlier this month allowing Renner and Passidomo to easily secured their leadership posts.

Passidomo addressed reporters and said she does not feel a Florida governor with presidential aspirations should be forced to resign.

“If an individual who is Florida governor is running for president, I think he should be allowed to do it,” she said in regard to amending state law to allow DeSantis to keep his office in Tallahassee while running for president – should he choose to do so. “I really do. That’s a big honor and a privilege, so it is a good idea.”

Democratic gubernatorial nominee Charlie Crist resigned from the House of Representatives in August over the Resign-to-Run Law.

But I bet it there were a democrat governor coming up, Republicans would quickly change things back so that a governor would have to resign before running.

But hey, nice to know you missed the point completely.

Of course they would. That is not the point. The point, which you missed completely is that changing a law is different from breaking.

Hardly dude! The point is that the Republican will change the rules when it suits their goals. And the same is happening in Ohio, where they don't want activists putting a referendum to get abortion rights into their state constitution. They are changing the threshold for the vote, making it a requirement that they need 60% of the vote in order to pass!

Hey anon, did you see how Congress passed what was cheekily referred to as the "Pelosi bill" that, you know was supposed to make insider trading by members of Congress illegal, and Nancy went in behind them when it passed and snuck in an amendment that basically gutted it, so there are no penalties if she continues to feed Paul secrets, and what do we call that?

Now, in 2008 a bill was submitted that would have hamstrung the credit card industry.
Nancy Pelosi bottled up that bill.
Coincidentally she and hubby got a most lucrative offer to participate in the IPO for Visa.
That deal was worth over $100,000 into Pelosi's pocket in only 2 days.
Throwback Thursday: Nancy Pelosi's 2008 Quid Pro Quo with Visa (ccn.com)
And whaddya know, she kept that bill bottled up for more than 2 years, until it was resubmitted in the Senate and passed through Congress like shit through a goose.
The stink over the deal caused Congress to pass the STOCK act, making it "ILLEGAL" for members of Congress to profit from insider trading information.
    STOCK Act - Wikipedia

But then, a few months later, Congress quietly gutted the bill.
How Congress Quietly Overhauled Its Insider-Trading Law : It's All Politics : NPR

And since then Nancy and the power rangers and others in Congress have racked up impressive profits in the stock market.
Paul Pelosi, the poster child for insider trading, is so successful that there are web sites dedicated to tracking and reporting his every stock move, cause, you know, make money. And now they've expanded into tracking all members of Congress and their stock trades.
What’s Trading on Capitol Hill? | Capitol Trades

So, that's how a despicable violates the law and they call it "politics".
If a deplorable, say, Trump tried that kind of shit they'd call it "ILLEGAL".
In fact, didn't the Trump organization just make a deal with Saudia Arabia to license their name to a new resort, and the despicables twirled and howled about corruption?
What was illegal or even immoral in that deal?

A Florida state representative who authored a controversial law banning teachers from mentioning their sexuality in class has been indicted on money laundering charges.

Click Orlando reports that Florida State Rep. Joe Harding is been hit with charges of wire fraud, money laundering and making false statements over an alleged attempt to defraud the Small Business Administration out of COVID-19 emergency relief money.

"The U.S. Department of Justice said Harding, 35, created bank accounts for dormant business entities and used them to apply for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans," Click Orlando writes. "The indictment accuses Harding of obtaining and attempting to obtain more than $150,000 from the SBA, which was deposited into two bank accounts."

If he is found guilty, Harding potentially faces decades in prison, as Click Orlando notes that the wire fraud charge alone carries a sentence of up to 20 years, while the money laundering charge could potentially tack on an extra decade to his sentence.

Harding's trial is scheduled to begin in January next year.

DeSantis Makes Absurd Call for Grand Jury Probe on COVID Vax ‘Misconduct’

With a dystopian backdrop of Zoom attendees and surrounded by anti-vax academics and state health officials, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis used a Tuesday roundtable discussion to call on Florida’s Supreme Court to impanel a grand jury to investigate alleged vaccine “misconduct” in the state. “Today, I’m announcing a petition with the Supreme Court of Florida to impanel a statewide grand jury to investigate any and all wrongdoing in Florida with respect to COVID-19 vaccines,” DeSantis said to a round of silent applause from background viewers. Meeting attendees, including the governor’s vaccine-skeptic surgeon general, Joseph Ladapo, voiced a desire to hold vaccine manufacturers “accountable” for largely discredited side effects of the shot, pointing to conditions like myocarditis, which has proven extremely rare. They also challenged the authority and legitimacy of scientific analysis from the nation’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “Our CDC, at this point, anything they put out, you just assume, at this point, that it’s not worth the paper it’s printed on,” DeSantis said, declaring that the state had decided to invent its own agency. “In Florida, we’re creating what we’re calling the Public Health Integrity Committee.”
