FBI agents raid condo unit owned by Russians at Trump Towers in Sunny Isles

The trio of Trump Towers on Sunny Isles Beach draws its share of gawkers, thanks to Donald Trump’s licensing deal that plastered his name on the oceanfront development.

But on Thursday, the luxury high-rise complex drew the attention of law enforcement, namely the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

A squad of FBI special agents, assisted by local police, descended on Trump Tower III at 15811 Collins Ave. to carry out a search of unit 4102. It’s owned by a shell company, MIC-USA LLC, that is controlled by two Russian businessmen, Oleg Sergeyevich Patsulya and Agunda Konstantinovna Makeeva, according to state corporation records.

On Friday, a spokesman for the FBI’s Miami field office said it “was conducting court-ordered law enforcement activity in the vicinity of that location,” but provided no other information.

Patsulya and Makeeva could not be reached for comment. Patsulya’s wife, Roza Pereira, who state records show is also listed on the corporate paperwork for MIC-USA, said she was aware of the FBI’s raid.

“I can’t talk about it,” Pereira told the Miami Herald. “The lawyer [for my husband] said not to talk to anyone. ... I have no idea what it’s about.”

Sunny Isles Beach has been dubbed “LIttle Moscow” by locals because it’s home to many Russian expatriates. Some expressed concerns about a backlash against their affluent beachfront community after the Russian military invaded Ukraine last year and the U.S. government started pursuing sanctions against oligarchs who hide their wealth in real estate in South Florida and other parts of the country.

Before becoming president in 2016, Trump signed a deal with the developers of the 45-story condo buildings to name the property after him to help promote sales. Foreign buyers, especially from Latin America and Russia, flocked to Trump Towers, as they did with other Trump-branded properties in Sunny Isles Beach.

Among the buyers: MIC-USA, which acquired the three-bedroom, three-bath condo residence at Trump Tower III for $1.65 million a decade ago, according to Miami-Dade property records.

In 2020, BAC Florida Bank, which provided financing for the purchase, sued Patsulya and Makeeva, claiming they defaulted on their $975,000 mortgage. The dispute was resolved later that year, though it’s not clear how from the court records. MIC-USA, controlled by the two Russians, continued to own the 41st-floor unit at Trump Tower III.

More facts not in evidence and blatant lies spewed by the American Hater.

Your entire reason for existing, American hater, is to pit Americans against each other and try to create chaos and violence.
It is literally in every post you make on this forum.
You sold your soul decades ago in the name of defeating conservatives.
No matter what it takes, no matter how low you have to go to achieve your goal. It is your mandate, your crusade and your ultimate reason for existing. Your mission is pure, it is ordained by higher authority, eh?

Clearly Putin feared Hillary. Putin knew Hillary would be tough on Russia. Also Putin already knew he had Trump in his back pocket. So of course Putin interfered and supported Trump's election.

And members here actually defended that. You can see them on this thread saying things like it was no big deal the US has inferred in elections in other countries too. Almost always followed by the Russian false propaganda that President Obama interfered in Israel's election.

A 30 second google search would prove that was a lie. But no matter how many times you proved it was a lie they would just keep telling the same lie over and over and over again.

As always the reason you post just the links is so you can make a statement hoping people won't actually click on the links to find you are just spouting Russian false propaganda again and the actual articles l do not say what you are trying to claim.

There is no comparison between President Obama opposing Bibi The Butcher right out in the open and the kind of secret and massive interference in US elections by your buddy Putin.

Here's why the FBI raided a Trump Towers condo owned by Russian businessmen in Florida

FBI officials conducted a raid at Trump Towers III in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, last Thursday, searching a condominium owned by an LLC of two Russian businessmen. At the time, officials in the FBI's Miami field office gave no explanation other than that it was "court-ordered law enforcement activity" in the area.

Now, the Miami Herald is revealing the reason for the raid.

"Oleg Sergeyevich Patsulya was arrested that day by federal agents in Phoenix, Arizona, along with his business partner, Vasilii Sergeyevich Besedin, and charged with conspiring to violate the U.S. Export Control Reform Act and to commit international money laundering," reported Jay Weaver. "The Russians, both from the Sunny Isles Beach area, had traveled to Arizona in September of last year and attempted to purchase aircraft brake systems from a supply company there and sell them to Russian airline companies."

"A criminal complaint alleges that Patsulya and Besedin used their Florida company, MIC P&I, and worked with others to evade U.S. export laws and regulations to send aircraft parts to Russian airline companies over the past year," said the report. "The complaint, written by a Commerce Department special agent and filed in Phoenix federal court, alleges that Patsulya and Besedin fielded requests for parts directly from Russian airlines at a time when many of them were facing increased sanctions stemming from Russia’s invasion of Urkaine."

"The two men then used intermediary companies and foreign bank accounts in third-party countries to mask the true identity of the customers and the source of the payments, according to the complaint."

Aviation companies froze the sale of parts to Russian airlines last year as the invasion of Ukraine ramped up, at the same time as Russian airlines were prohibited from most airspace of Western countries. All of this has hurt the country's aviation industry, although it is still operating thanks to domestic demand.

"Sunny Isles Beach has been dubbed 'LIttle Moscow' by locals because it’s home to many Russian expatriates. Some expressed concerns about a backlash against their affluent beachfront community after the Russian military invaded Ukraine last year and the U.S. government started pursuing sanctions against oligarchs who hide their wealth in real estate in South Florida and other parts of the country," noted the report. "Before becoming president in 2016, Trump signed a deal with the developers of the 45-story condo buildings to name the property after him to help promote sales. Foreign buyers, especially from Latin America and Russia, flocked to Trump Towers, as they did with other Trump-branded properties in Sunny Isles Beach."

'What was that?' WSJ's Peggy Noonan says there are still 'chilling' questions about Trump and Putin

In her column for the Wall Street Journal, longtime Washington D.C. insider and presidential speechwriter Peggy Noonan claimed the long-awaited report finally submitted by special counsel John. Durham cleared up some mysteries surrounding the relationship between Donald Trump and Russia, but greater and more important questions still remain.

According to Noonan, she felt the Durham report made some vaild criticisms about how the FBI conducted it's investigation into the relationship between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russian interference in the election.

However, she stated that she still finds it worrisome that the American president has sided so often with Russian strongman Vladimir Putin against U.S. interests and that she is particularly concerned over what happened when the two met privately in Helsinki in 2018.

As she noted, Trump's decision to criticize the U.S. intelligence gathering service in a speech after meeting with Putin is "chilling."

In particular, Noonan pointed to Trump suggesting that he believed Putin's denial about having meddled to hack the Democratic National Committee in 2016, and she suggested further investigation is warranted into their relationship.

"It was chilling: An American president, on foreign soil, was denigrating America’s own intelligence and law-enforcement agencies, undermining his own country, and in front of a dictator he would have known was guilty of interfering with a U.S. election. Russian entities had attempted to contact his campaign in 2016; his own campaign manager had offered polling information to Russian operatives," she wrote.

Noonan said agreed with the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) who at the time called the Helsinki comments "one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory," and then added, "To my mind there’s still a lot of mystery there."

"What was that strange thing between Messrs. Trump and Putin? People say Mr. Trump just likes dictators, but I don’t know. He’ll trash anyone and has—his own vice president, 'Little Rocket Man, China during the pandemic. He never trashes Mr. Putin. What was that? What is it?" she asked.

'Time for us to take advantage': Russian TV hosts debate how Trump woes can help the Kremlin

In the wake of a federal indictment charging former President Donald Trump with 37 counts related to his handling of classified materials, Kremlin mouthpieces on Russian state-owned media are theorizing how to undermine Joe Biden as the 2024 election approaches, The Daily Beast reported.

In one segment cited by The Beast, Russian state TV host Evgeny Popov said, "The investigation against Trump has to do with the disappearance of secret documents from the White House, related to the development of new nuclear weapons by the United States... Obviously, if there were any important documents, they’ve been studying them in Moscow for a while. What’s the point of searching?”

Dmitry Drobnitsky, who is described as an "Americanologist," declared in one segment that "none of the leading presidential candidates will make it to the 2024 elections as free men."

"It’s time for us to take advantage of this," Drobnitsky said. "The new cornerstone of our foreign policy should be to constantly demonstrate the toxicity of the American world, the Pax Americana that previously suited everyone.”

"Let all the flowers bloom, as long as our adversaries are allergic to them... We should do whatever we can to shove them out of our Eurasia," he said.

Drobnitsky also said that the pro-Russian talking points disseminated by Robert F Kennedy Jr.'s participation in the campaign will be a good thing for Moscow.

"Let’s release a story where we’ll write that Biden was personally getting $10 million for every day of the war in Ukraine. Who can prove it isn’t so? There are so many criminal cases out there!” he said.
