    IMO the idea that someone under the age of say 18 is a child, is ridiculous. In my state 16, is a legal age of sexual consent. Many European countries its as low as 14. (Germany, Italy and others.) So its just a number "decided" upon by states or countries.

    That said, a male dog will eagerly imitate sex with a human. No force is needed in any way. It becomes just another pleasurable physical activity for him. Just like playing fetch. Are you forcing a dog to chase a ball or Frisbee. Of course not. Its a dog's natural instinct to chase prey. And a dog will play fetch for hours if you let him. Its the same with sex. Its a perfectly natural desire for him to mate and pass on his genes. And some humans take advantage of that for their own sexual gratification.

    Who's getting hurt? Certainly not the dog. Why deny a dog a chance experiencing sex if that's what he wants. "Moral" judgments: "A person's standards of behavior or beliefs concerning what is and is not acceptable for them to do." are often subjective in nature.

      Physiologically - in terms of decision making, the brain has not matured, especially in males, until the early 20's. Females tend to develop a few years faster.

      It is part of the reason for example that males tend to be in a lot of car accidents when they are younger - they don't make good choices behind the wheel, because of the development (or lack of) in their brains.

      This is "new" in as much as it's probably only been identified in the past 10 - 20 years.

      Should this have a bearing on sex, and/or legal matters? I can certainly see reasons for it.

      Would I thus support increasing the age of consent to 21? Well that would be un-policeable! So no.

      I'm just pointing out that young people make bad decisions, because their brains have not reached maturity.

    It seems to me that this thing is getting over analyzed; if a dog wants to fuck and someone is willing to submit, where's the harm?
