Yea I did with my boyfriend around the age of 14-15. I see nothing wrong with it even though they should know about the STD's and pregnancy. It is only two clicks away from porn on the internet.

I think for kids of 15/16 and up its allright, as long as they know what they're doing and practice safe sex.

I started reading magazines like playboy since i was 8 or 9 i think, and i got my first pornmagazine (dont know how i got it anymore though) around 13 or 14

Seriously, though, there are two questions here---posters seem to have missed that.


First IS the question of looking at porn. I saw it, looked t it, etc. by the time I was about 10, and regualrly by the time I was about 12. It may be normal curiousity, but do I think it is a good idea for pre-teens to be looking at porn-----No, I don't.

Second question is about sexual activity. If you are looking at porn at 11 or 12 and beating off to it, you are being 'sexually active' and that, too, is normal. But sexually-active with OTHERS? INTERCOURSE at 11 or 12??? Absolutely not.

I hope I am not being hypocritical here, but I started 'fooling around' with girls at 14, but I think I was really too young and stupid (looking back at it). I wish there was some way to ensure that sexual RELATIONS did not begin until people were MATURE enough both mentally and physically to handle it. Some can at 16----others really can't at 20; and NO ONE can at 12 or 14----at that age, it is just a dangerous game.

At a young age both males and females wonder about sexuality. The more you make them wait the more they want it. Society has a high demand on sexual activities and mentality. By letting them be sexually active it should reduce the issues with teenagers. Because they CAN do it, they most likely will spend more time worrying about being safe then actually doing it period.

I may be wrong but doesn't Germany already do that. Like have magazines portraying that kind of thing. Apperently (again..to my knowledge) teenager issues have drop dramatically and the pregnancy rate has also dropped.

 

Of course it is....but parents need to get in touch with the idea that they cannot regulate every aspect of their child's behavior, even at that age. You can't stop them from exploring their sexuality, and if you try to, you'll pay a heavy price. What you CAN do is give them some guiding principles, starting much younger than 12 or 14, and trust them to make reasonably sound decisions.
