I do not ever feel like a target, thank goodness for that...I grew up in a home where everyone hunted and never thought twice about the guns being there. I have a healthy respect for a gun, but I do not have a wish to ever own one..I don't do any shooting of any kind so I don't need one...I don't ever remember seeing the guns that much, probably when they were going hunting was when they'd be out...I couldn't even tell you where they were kept....

and you ask, why? well, when i go out to shoot, i don't have to keep reloading mags. i can just shoot to my heart's content, at a paper target, i might add, without having to stop and reload mags. i can reload mags at home in my spare time.

and to ask you this....since i am a legal citizen, and all my guns have been bought legally over the counter of a gun store with an approved background check, and i have never used my guns for anything illegal, nor have i ever hurt anyone, why should my right be taken away? i have done nothing wrong!

now i will add.....right now i am single and no children are in the house. hell, i'm only 24. but, once i have kids, i will have a gun safe where my guns are locked up 100% of the time so they can't take them to school and blow people up.

as to the question of why, well, why not? its legal, safe when used properly, fun, and guns are a good investment. do you realize how much these guns will be worth on the legal civilian market if the democrats instigate another AWB (assault weapon ban) like clinton did in 1994? i will make a killing! (no pun intended of course)

It all depends on what state you live in but you can't get licensed to own an AK unless your a military personelle i know that for a fact but if you want to prove me wrong, show me proof

I bought a pistol when I lived in Seattle (scary city after dark) and still keep it close by at all times (like now) when hubby is gone.

 

i dont see what the big deal with owning guns is really. Ive just turned 18 january. I have 9 firearms. 7 rifles 1 shotgun and 1 pistol. Ive had a gun scince i was 12. cut my teeth on daisy air rifles when i was big enough to tote one. I live in Georgia and ak's are legal if i had the money i could go to a store and get one and go through nothin but the standard check. no waiting period or anything. About an hour worth of phone calls tot he goverment and voila i own a semi automatic ak-47. But i cant do that on account of i dont have the money and my sks servers the same purpose it would. I do plan on saving up for an AR though. And i would like a 1911 .45ACP too. Oh nice collection btw.

 

yes, you can. you have to do the same background check that is required for any handgun, rifle, or pistol. takes about 1/2 hour. in 1994 Clinton imposed a ban on assault rifles. you could still own the ones you had, but you could no longer purchase a firearm with a flash suppressor, a magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds, a bayonet lug, or a collapsable stock. Bush relieved the ban, so now they are perfectly legal.

any gun is legal here in Va except for two types. the first type is anything that is fully automatic. if you purchase a special tax stamp, and jump through some major hoops, and you can dump a huge amount of cash, then you can actually get those too. the other illegal rifle is called a SBR (short barrel rifle). no rifle can have a barrel length of less than 16 inches. technically, you can buy a 14.5 inch barrel and have a flash suppressor permantly pinned in, pay a $200 tax, and get approved by your CLEO (chief law enforcement officer, usually the sheriff) and it is now legal because the overall barrel length exceeds 16 inches.

go to your local gun shop and see what kind of guns they are selling. you will find AK's, AR's, SKS's, FAL's, Uzi's, etc. that is the only proof i can show you.

 

ok, the neck. i tore the ligament that is between my C4 and C5 vertebrae. i forget the technical term for it. my C4 is off alignment to the left by 42%, and my C5 is off alignment to the right by 48%. in other words, its pretty goofed up. he said he couldn't do an alignment with so much inflamation, so i have an apt on monday at 3 to get it aligned. he did some electro-thereapy, and it has offered some relief, so i am not in near as much pain as i was.

thank goodness too, neck injuries are painful.

 

AR's can be built much cheaper than they can be purchased. you can go the buying route, and pick up a bushmaster m4 for around $1,000, give or take. or you can build one. pick up a lower for around $100, grab a stock kit that already has your buffer and spring for about $50. pick up a lower parts kit for $50, then shop for a complete upper kit that aready has your bolt, carrier, charging handle, gas rod, etc for about $350. if my math is correct, that's about $550. i'm building a Stag A3 as we speak.

 

Having fired many guns and not sure of what they were, what I do know is a shotgun will put you're shoulder out if not fired correctly(accept for piss ant buckshot which won't even blow a can over,might go through galvanized iron but at close range.A 303 will pull down a kangaroo no probs,A -22 or as you might know it -22250 ,a hollow point bullet which is different designed to spread causes a lot more damage.The 303 winchester leaves a nice small hole in one side and a big one in the other side about the size of a saucer.A semi automatic I haven't used one in years(good for hunting rabbits but)outlawed in this country now.Anyway that was a long time ago and I still don't like guns.
