its like nigger. they way that people see nigger on the inside generally in street or biker gangs is a fellowship, it is not meant to be offensive. if glenn beck was to call a black man a nigger, there would be outrage. blacks or coloureds of nineteen sixties america were segregated and because of that spawned the black civil rights movement in the south of that country. i was impositioned by growing up in a highly orthodox catholic family around blacks who just hated whites. there were quite a few of us but i spent much of my time alone trying to make sense of the world.

i thought that was what happened yesterday. some dude came up my drive, who looked like a police officer, and i thought he was going to bust me, but he just went on his way instead. he also knocked on my door quite profoundly, of course i wasn't going to answer.

i just go to the amazon reviews to read, learn and laugh at the bad reviews from people who actually bought these albums rather than downloaded them. if you read about the metallica and lou reed album that was horrid to most people because they were expecting rock but got spoken word poetry with rock fillers. other than that, generally all the albums i have read reviews for were in fact well received by amazon customers.

it is interesting though, because in some of the reviews i got some insight into the business end of hollywood i suppose or record companies particularly in parts of california and it was interesting, but not all that good. green day, forty year old men now, dressing as teenagers. trent reznor of nine inch nails declaring at a concert not to buy year zero because he probably whipped it up on garage band (computer software) on a notebook computer. that's what the gorillaz did, they produced the fall on an ipad. green day being called "three little whores" for "warner brothers music". i don't know who typed up those reviews but if they were from the inside that could be the calm before the storm.

go there and read reviews, but particularly the bad ones, of your favourite bands, i found what i learnt very interesting.

 

i went to a moby concert about ten years ago and the first thing he said when he got on stage was apologise for the invasion of iraq, ON THE SAME DAY AS HIS SHOW. why was he apologising? he wasn't responsible. a month before that i went to a david bowie concert and it was pouring with rain in a too bigger venue which was not covered, ashes to ashes despite the song being about a heroin or cocaine addict was done wonderfully. he arrived on the stage two hours late though and some people were getting a bit pissed because of the wait, that was in wellington. before that he hadn't been to new zealand since the mid-nineteen seventies to do a concert. why did we have to wait so long to experience him live again? the reasoning must be insane.

 

new zealand hasn't always been like the united states. music television in this small country has only really started up since 2003 or 2004, when i was already old enough to drink and or start some kind of career in porn. now there are like i believe five music television channels spouting out pretty much the same entertainment that will just get stuck in your head and get put on repeat like a c.i.a. interrogation.

that chinese girl she will be straight up with you about how she feels and she threatened to kill me but i still love her and i could have killed myself over her yesterday. with that korean i know and have found her difficult to let go in spite of how mean she was to me every time. she is just on another planet, planet korea. i just wish i could try and talk to her to find out how she really feels. if she never liked me, she surely must have had enough goodness to make a move on me and the first one at that.

she was christian, that's what ruined it and her life is probably ruined too. my life is ruined too so we're all here.
