OK. First, please don't make comments about marriage, or whatever you feel marriage should be. You're only 18. I've been married for 18 years and we have sex about once every two months, on average. That means sometimes we have sex twice a month and sometimes not for three months, or more. I'm sure you can do the math. Only in my 40s and didn't think my sex life would end so soon but, apparently, this is more common than television and the movies would lead us to believe. My advice is to have a lot of sex when you're young and can still find it.

Being committed in a relationship is about a LOT more than sex. Sometimes sex doesn't even come into the picture at all after awhile. As for your friend that bites you in the ass if there is a disagreement, that is also what relationships are about. The difference in a friendship and a marriage is you don't have to see that other person every day and night, over and over and over. Being in a marriage (and those where there is no certificate) means putting up with your partner when you don't agree.

Just because we don't really have a sexual relationship any longer doesn't mean I am any where near considering walking away from my life partner after 18 years! Maybe it will never improve but there isn't anyone I would rather be with.
