THIS is the boring part lol, the wait for the next installment

 

I completely agree, that it sucks waiting for the next one, checking every night to see if you wrote a new portion.. But, I'm sure we all understand that you have a life too.

 

When we got inside the mall, which was the biggest around, but compared to some of the malls in the big cities, it was small. The first thing we did was hit JC Penny. For me, this was insanely boring... until we got to their lingerie department. Watching the girls pick out panties and bras and other underwear was exciting. I even imagined Kelly's little cousin in her underwear.

I felt weird being around her, too. Not because she was his, those kind of boundaries are clear to men, and only a man looking to get his ass kicked knows not to cross that line. It was her muteness. Even though she didn't talk much at halloween, she did have a lovely voice. I felt guilty talking to her, and not knowing sign language made understanding her worse. Then, I would feel guilty for not talking to her. Like I was excluding her somehow.

She had a good time though, and smiled a lot at the antics that took place between Kit and Shelly. She had a beautiful smile that made her cheek bones stand out.

After JC Penny, we hit Old Navy, and that was more of a bore for me. Kelly watched the girls interact with a smile on his face that would always look out of place to me. He was simply not the kind of man who smiled much, and when he did, it was kind of scary. It was a lot like a mix between a smirk and a grin, like he knew a joke no one else did.

After Old Navy, we slipped into the music store, which was a lot more exciting to me. I am a very musical person. To me, Music is a kind of magic. Music can make sad people happy, happy people sad, and at concerts it can move thousands of people to take out their lighters all at once and wave them in the air in unison... if that isn't some kind of magic spell, I don't know what is!

I actually found a Sonata Arctica album, and introduced Kelly to their amazing music. He'd never heard of them before, but as soon as he heard "The Power of One", he was hooked. He, in turn, had his cousin listen to it, and she also fell in love with their songs. She particularly liked "The End of this Chapter".

I didn't end up getting anything, since I already had all the albums that I liked. After the music store, we went to the book store. I think everyone except Kit and Kelly were bored there. I was never much of a book reader. The books I like have pictures of naked women in them. Kelly ended up getting 4 books in total there, and his cousin got two of them herself. Kit got a book on tarot card reading, as well as a pack of tarot cards. Shelly didn't have any problems expressing how dumb she was for spending money on, "oooo magic picture cards".

I personally thought it was interesting. Of course, the only thing I knew about tarot at that time was basically what I'd seen in horror movies. Teenage girl entering a spooky shop of an old crone, all giggly and ask about the guy she likes, but doesn't like her back, of course. And then the old Crone putting a gnarled finger on the Death card, and then you insert dramatic spooky music...

But, I learned through Kit there was a lot more to it than that. It was very interesting, really. Maybe a little kooky, but still fun. So, after the book store, we went to the toy store. We actually ended up getting ourselves kicked out of that shop. My sister, Kit, and Kelly's cousin, found some of those nerf toys that were already opened, and had themselves a little war right there in the middle of the store over the heads of little kids.

Me and Kelly ended up hurling a football back and fourth from one end of the store to another. Shelly ended up watching us all and telling us how dumb we were and that we would get in trouble. She was right, as the store manager asked us to leave, then summoned security to get us out. The funniest part, was that some of the kids in the store decided to emulate our behavior and play with the toys directly in the store like we were. It was some kind of miracle we didn't get thrown out of the mall completely.

When we were tossed out of the toy store, we went to the leather shop. It was one of my favorite places, as the smell of leather was intoxicating. Kelly bought himself a pair of gloves, and got a Harley Davidson bandana for his cousin. No one else bought anything, as everything was very expensive, but looking and touching was fun. His cousin took the bandana out, and and Kelly folded it so it would cover her head. She put it on, and was instantly made cuter.

So, after the leather shop, we hit what I can only describe as a Hippy shop. It was full of weird little decorations, like dream catchers, and little statuettes. It allowed you to make bracelets and necklaces and sold all kinds of semi-religious items. It had a wall full of scented candles and incense. Kelly got his cousin a cinnamon scented candle, and the other three girls got all kinds of different incense and candles.

I decided to get my sister a gift as well, but I couldn't get just 1 gift, I needed to get something for Kit and Shelly as well. I went to the counter and had three necklaces made. One was the word Mind between two stars. Another was the word Body between two hearts, and the third was the word Spirit, with a heart on one side and a star on the other.

I gave the Mind necklace to Kit, the Body necklace to Shelly, and the Spirit necklace to my sister. They each loved them. We decided to go to the food court and relax before taking another walk around the Mall. We were on our way to the food court when we ran into Randy. I stopped to talk to him for a moment, and told the others to go on, i would catch up.

"Looks like you're pretty busy." He said to me watching the group go. "Who's that dark haied girl ?"

"Kelly's cousin." I told him.

He looked again and saw the way she held his arm with her head on his shoulder. "Ohh, weird." he said.

"What are you doing here ?" I asked him.

"Just walking. I had to get away from my family, they were driving me nuts." He answered.

"Do you have any dip on you could buy ?" I asked him. "I ran out some time ago, and almost got myself kicked out of a gas station buying it."

"Here..." he said and pulled a tin of Kodiak Wintergreen out of his back pocket. "I havn't dipped much from it, but 5 bucks and it's yours."

"5 bucks ?" I asked riasing my eyebrow.

"Yeah. I'm broke." He told me.

I dug out the 5 bucks and bought the tin from him.

"Sweet!" He said. "If you run out, call me. I'll give you your next tin free, since you did me this favor."

"Allright." I said, "I need to go catch up with them. I'll catch you later."

I stuffed the tin in my back pocket and power walked to the food court. I rejoined my group as they were deciding on what to get on the Pizza.

"Pepperoni." I said.

"And sausage." Shelly said.

"I just want cheese." Kit chimed in.

"We'll eat whatever." Kelly said and his cousin nodded.

"Pepperoni..... and sausage... with pineapple." My sister said. That last part made everyone laugh.

We just ended up getting individual slices, instead of a whole pizza.

When we got our pizza, we sat down. I sat next to my sister, and Kit and Shelly sat down the other side of her. Kelly and his cousin sat scross from us, Kelly in front of my sister, me in front of his cousin.

"Having fun ?" I asked her.

She looked at me with her soft brown eyes and nodded with a smile. She was very cute.

"So, did you get more of that nasty stuff off Randy ?" My sister asked.

"Of course." I told her.

"You should have seen when he tried to buy it at the gas station," Kit told her.

"Ohh ?" My sister said raising an eyebrow at me. "What happened ?"

"Nothing," I told her. "They guy just told me no. A lot."

We made small talk for the rest of the meal, then got up to walk around the mall again. Nothing else happened, and it was time to go home.

Well got to admit..... I'm hooked too! Took me a couple of evenings to read it all and now I wait in anticipation for the next episode.

I hope nate realizes that he has infuriated the MOAR cat by not providing MOAR in a timely fashion.

 

Is this a true story??? I luv it so much, I've been reading for hours! Also, I don't get this.

I woke up a short time later in the darkness, and I couldn't move. I felt my dad standing over me ready to plunge a knife into my guilty back. I couldn't move, and I couldn't do anything to stop him. Any second now he was going to plunge that knife into my back. I screamed inside my head and yelled cuss words at him. Any minute, that knife would plunge in and kill me. I tried to move my arms, but they wouldn't budge. I was still screaming at him in my head when sleep carried me away....

 

It was a sleep-paralysis episode.


and i'll get the next little episode up here in a few hours. I'm waiting for my headache to go away before I kick back and stare at the screen for a few hours.

Nooooo, it's been 6 days and no new part

 

My understanding is that this is fiction... He had a beginning and knows how it will end... It's unfolding to us in episodes and can turn and twist in any direction... If I remember correctly... the author early on asked for suggestions to include in this GREAT story.

Keep it up Nate... I'm loving it.
