Gallup Survey on 'Party Preferences' Confirms Dems' Worst Fears About Joe Biden
By Sister Toldjah | Jan 17, 2022 4:45 PM ET

Judging by the number of House Democrats who are abandoning ship ahead of the 2022 midterm elections alone (the number currently stands at 26, with more sure to follow), some Democrats obviously are well aware of the writing on the wall when it comes to their chances of retaining the House later this year.

Issues like the economy, inflation, the unemployment situation, and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic loom large for Joe, who one year since his inauguration has seen his approval rating plummet from a high of 63% in one post-inauguration poll to 33% in one from just last week.

Though Biden trotted into the Oval Office in a blaze of glory, propped up by a mainstream media eager to get back to “business as usual” (read: “scratch our backs, we scratch yours” relations) with a Democratic presidential administration, the shiny newness has worn off and the icing is off of the cake, with cold, hard reality rearing its ugly head.

That reality is that Biden is not only not the uniter in chief he promised to be, but he’s also a pretty ineffective leader whose priorities are not what they should be and who can’t even bring his own party together to get behind him in passing Democrat agenda items.

Gallup Polling has conducted comprehensive quarterly surveys going back decades to gauge the political party preferences of voters. Typically, Democrats tend to have the edge in these surveys, but something pretty remarkable happened in the fourth quarter last year:

On average, Americans’ political party preferences in 2021 looked similar to prior years, with slightly more U.S. adults identifying as Democrats or leaning Democratic (46%) than identified as Republicans or leaned Republican (43%).

However, the general stability for the full-year average obscures a dramatic shift over the course of 2021, from a nine-percentage-point Democratic advantage in the first quarter to a rare five-point Republican edge in the fourth quarter.

    […]

The GOP has held as much as a five-point advantage in a total of only four quarters since 1991. The Republicans last held a five-point advantage in party identification and leaning in early 1995, after winning control of the House of Representatives for the first time since the 1950s. Republicans had a larger advantage only in the first quarter of 1991, after the U.S. victory in the Persian Gulf War led by then-President George H.W. Bush.

What brought about the change? They note in their piece that there was a correlation last year between shifts in party preference and presidential approval ratings. And Biden’s began falling dramatically in the third quarter as reality set in for voters.

This is something that played out in the Virginia red wave of 2021, where independent voters shifted to Republican gubernatorial nominee Glenn Youngkin in part because they weren’t happy with Joe Biden’s performance so far and wanted to send a message.

If these trends hold throughout 2022, it could prove disastrous at the ballot box in November: https://twitter.com/henryolsenEPPC/...irms-dems-worst-fears-about-joe-biden-n508070

This is the worst fear of Democrats confirmed: Joe Biden has been an awful drag on their party rather than the rescuer they thought they needed. Unfortunately for them, not only are there other “drags” on their party (like AOC), but it also appears that there’s no end in sight to the Democratic party’s woes, especially if Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema stand firm on preserving the filibuster.

    What a shame.

Biden’s press conference was an utter disaster
    By

If President Joe Biden’s press conference Wednesday was supposed to inspire confidence, it failed — horribly.

Even though he spent most of it clearly calling on reporters from a list of “safe” questioners provided by his staff, he stumbled and bumbled and all too often made no sense at all. Plus, he repeated his bizarre “whisper shout” gimmick to emphasize certain points — when what it actually emphasizes is his age.

On that note, he kept walking down memory lane, reminiscing about how “in my day” cable news was like that; the Republican Party was like this, and so on. He’s fighting old wars in his head, or maybe just confused about the modern world.

Yet he couldn’t remember what he said last week, insisting he hadn’t compared opponents of end-running the Senate filibuster rules to pass the nationalize-election-law bill to Bull Connor and Jefferson Davis. Yet minutes later he warned those same (Democratic!) senators that their supposedly infamous position will stick with them all the rest of their days.

Joe Biden did not offer a clear answer on whether he would execute sanctions on Russia.
    AP
Then there was his “confession” at the end that he “forgot” he’s president, not a senator, as implicit explanation for his disastrous first year. But earlier he’d insisted he’s done more than any other president in history. What the fudge?

His answers on Ukraine were particularly confused.

The issue is pretty straightforward: Vladimir Putin is threatening an invasion and will do it if he thinks he can get away with it; at the least, he’ll try to get the West to bribe him by promising him much of what he wants without any fighting.

Biden seemed to offer one bribe by volunteering that NATO won’t make Ukraine a member any time soon. Even if true, why limit your options?

Worse, at one point the prez suggested Putin “has no choice” but to invade because he’s boxed himself in. At least, we think that’s what Biden said, but his syntax made it impossible to say for sure.

Then, too, he outright said Putin would win, albeit at a heavy price: “The cost of going into Ukraine in terms of physical loss of life for the Russians — they’ll be able to prevail over time, but it’s going to be heavy.”

Oh, and Biden suggested Russia might well get away with “a minor incursion.” That’s an invitation to take one piece of Ukraine now — and more pieces later. What a disaster. No wonder his staff does everything it can to keep him away from the press.

Joe Biden Outs Himself as Massive 'Big Lie' Hypocrite Ahead of 2022 Midterms
By Sister Toldjah | Jan 19, 2022 8:45 PM ET

    AP Photo/Evan Vucci

For over the last year or so we’ve been hearing from The Usual Suspects as to how questioning the legitimacy of election results is tantamount to “undermining democracy” and should be considered a form of “dangerous incitement” that could potentially lead to the fomenting of an “insurrection.” They’ve even taken to calling people who still ask questions about the 2020 election as purveyors of the “Big Lie.”

Though the pious lectures are tiresome, what makes them particularly maddening is knowing that most of the people who have made such claims spent the entire four years of former President Donald Trump’s term delegitimizing his election by falsely claiming it was “stolen” from Hillary Clinton thanks in part to non-existent “collusion” between Trump and Russia.

The same is true of the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election. Stacey Abrams, the Democratic nominee, never conceded and has spent the last three years plus contending it was stolen. She’s done so with the enthusiastic support of the media and her fellow Democrats including Clinton, who in addition to spreading the lie that the Georgia election was stolen has also repeatedly said her own 2016 race against Trump was.

In fact, Abrams and Clinton were still making their claims about their respective races being “rigged” as Democrats in Congress were busy preparing to impeach Trump in part because he, too, questioned election results, which Democrats claimed was “incitement.”

Simply put, the double-speak on this issue from the left/media has been epic, but also dangerous. Because while they continue to get to use the tools at their disposal to dispute election results as they see fit, a Republican even raising one question regarding election results is viewed as “insurrectiony” and is cause for a flood of condemnations about “respecting democracy” and whatnot.

All of this brings me to some very concerning things the current Oval Office occupant alleged today during his combative presser. On two different occasions, President Biden was asked about the upcoming elections. The first reporter wondered if he felt the 2022 midterms would be “fairly” decided and the results “legitimate” if he couldn’t get the so-called “voting rights” bill passed. Biden’s answer was to cast doubt by suggesting that it all depended on whether or not Democrats could convince Americans that the elections were allegedly being rigged by Republicans: https://twitter.com/townhallcom/sta...-lie-hypocrite-ahead-of-2022-midterms-n509283

Later, another reporter did a follow-up to confirm whether or not Biden meant the elections might be illegitimate depending on what happens with the “voting rights” legislation. Biden’s answer once and for all proved him to be a massive “Big Lie” hypocrite:

Reporter: A moment ago you were asked whether or not you believed that we would have free and fair elections in 2022 if some of the legislatures reformed their voting protocols. You said that “it depends.” Do you….. do you think that in any way it would be illegitimate?

Biden: Oh, yeah I think easily it could be illegitimate. Imagine, imagine if, in fact, Trump had succeeded in convincing Pence to not count the votes. Imagine if…

Reporter: In regards to 2022, sir. The midterm elections.

Biden: Oh, 2022. I mean … imagine if those attempts to say that the count was not legit. You have to recount it and we’re not going to count, we’re going to discard the following votes. I mean sure, but I’m not saying it is going to be legit. The increase and the prospect of being illegitimate is in direct proportion to us not being able to get these reforms passed.

And there you have it, folks. If Democrats can’t get their massive power grab “voting rights” bill passed, then the 2022 midterms – which are expected to be disastrous for Democrats – could potentially be viewed as illegitimate per Joe Biden: https://twitter.com/townhallcom/sta...-lie-hypocrite-ahead-of-2022-midterms-n509283

Think about this for a second: One of the things Trump said about the 2020 election is that it should be considered legitimate “if” such and such took place. What’s Biden saying here? Essentially the same thing. Putting conditions on it. In the process, he is setting the stage for people to believe the upcoming elections won’t be fairly decided if his “voting rights” bill fails to pass.

So if Democratic supporters storm state legislatures or the Capitol building or threaten to, will Biden be impeached over his rhetoric? I mean that’s how this is supposed to work, right?

Here’s what needs to happen in the aftermath of Biden’s speech:https://twitter.com/JoeConchaTV/sta...-lie-hypocrite-ahead-of-2022-midterms-n509283

It won’t, though, because it would force “reporters” and Dems to reconsider all the things they’ve said about Republicans over the years, and we can’t have that. Remember, as we’ve all learned over the last five years, it’s okay to question election results and go to court over it if you’re a Democrat. But if you’re a Republican like Sens. Josh Hawley or Ted Cruz, doing so makes you an “insurrectionist.”

Thanks, Joe, for confirming everything we’ve ever said about Democrats on the issue of questioning election results. You just make it too easy sometimes.
