Biden blasted for telling reporter the economy is 'strong as hell' while eating ice cream in Portland
The comment came a day after Biden was criticized for telling a teen girl in Irvine, California not to date until she's 30

A day after President Joe Biden drew criticism from conservatives on social media for giving unsolicited dating advice to a young teen girl in California, the president is again in hot water for claiming the "economy is strong as hell."

The comment came during a conversation with a reporter at a Baskin Robbins in Portland, Oregon, who asked the president if he had any worry about the strength of the U.S. dollar amid rising inflation.

With a chocolate chip ice cream cone in his hand, Biden answered: "I’m not concerned about the strength of the dollar. I’m concerned about the rest of the world. Our economy is strong as hell."

He added: "Inflation is worldwide. It’s worse off than it is in the United States. So the problem is the lack of economic growth and sound policy in other countries not so much ours."

"It’s worldwide inflation. It’s consequential," Biden also said.

The comment came immediately after Biden criticized UK Prime Minister Liz Truss’s economic plan as "a mistake."

"I was not the only one that thought it was a mistake," he said. "I think the idea of cutting taxes on the super-wealthy at a time when — anyway, I disagreed with the policy but that’s up to Great Britian to make that judgment, not me."

Biden visited Portland Friday as part of a three-state tour in the Western U.S. to rally turnout for the upcoming midterm elections. Biden also visited California and intends to visit Colorado before heading back to Washington, D.C.

His visit to Portland was particularly notable as Democrats are in a position to potentially lose the governor’s mansion for the first time in decades, drawing attention from the White House.

A Democrat has governed from Mahonia Hall in Salem since the 1980s but two Democrats in the race — Betsy Johnson and Tina Kotek — could end up splitting the vote potential resulting in Republican Christine Drazan winning, some experts say.

While the Democratic Party formally recognizes Kotek as its nominee, Johnson still has double-digit support in polls and could play spoiler in the race.

Biden on Saturday urged voters to back Kotek.

She’s "articulate, tough, [and a] committed woman" the president said at a reception for Kotek, Reuters reported.

Biden’s comment about the economy comes a day after he hovered closely behind a teen girl and instructed her not to seriously date until she turned 30.

"Now a very important thing I told my daughters and granddaughters — no serious guys until you’re 30!" Biden said to the unknown young woman following a speech at Irvine Valley College in Irvine, California.

    "Ok," she responded.

"I’ll keep that in mind," she added as Biden hovered just inches from her face.

    https://twitter.com/fromkalen/statu...y-strong-hell-while-eating-ice-cream-portland

Video of the exchange was posted on Twitter by reporter Kalen D’Almeida, who claimed members of the Secret Service tried to prevent him from filming.

Speaking of Portland, did you see, with the approach of mid terms there's talk of even more counties in Eastern Oregon switching to become Idaho counties? At last count almost half the state is looking to switch.
The despicables are livid about that.
But, they have no one to blame but themselves.

More blood on Joe's hands. I only just learned of the fentanyl poisoning death of the 17 year old grandson of a gentleman I was on very friendly terms with from a local chamber of commerce just a few years ago. I had met him and his daughter, the boy's mother, back in the 90s - I did the mortgage loan for her first property.

The kid was an excellent baseball player with a good chance to get to the big leagues someday - he was still a senior in high school, but his grandfather was so proud of his accomplishments - he would always tell me how he was doing.

    I'm sad for the family...

Fuck Joe - killing Americans for his far-left policies.

Jill Biden Gets Mercilessly Booed at Eagles Game During Coin Toss
By Nick Arama | 10:00 PM on October 16, 2022

Jill Biden was in Philadephia on Sunday and she went to the Eagles game with Dallas at Lincoln Financial Field.

Biden was designated the honorary captain for the night and was standing at midfield during the coin toss when they flashed her picture on the big screen.

    https://twitter.com/JClarkNBCS/stat...booed-at-eagles-game-during-coin-toss-n644267

That’s when the booing erupted and let her have it. It must have been pretty substantial from what the people were saying.

That had to be especially cutting since she’s an Eagles fan.

But in all honesty, Americans are just fed up at this point with the mess that she and her husband have made of the country and they just vented. Given how much Joe Biden’s actions have been hurting people it’s completely understandable that they would let her know what they were thinking when they had the opportunity. But Joe Biden is just in denial about it, even claiming “the economy is strong as hell.”

John Fetterman better take note of this: People in Pennsylvania are not happy with what Biden and the Democrats have done. And a lot more may have something to say come election day.

But for some reason, when videos come out now within seconds of things happening and this is at an NFL game, there doesn’t appear to be a video yet. The local reporters/NFL writers are reporting it so it happened. But it’s almost as though someone doesn’t want us to see/hear it. Even Outkick asked the question: We know it happened, so why does the video appear to be hard to find?

We can find some other visuals.

She did participate in the fight song, “Fly Eagles Fly.”

She did get to meet with Sixers star Joel Embiid who was there at the game and there was just a bit of height differential.

People had a little fun with memes over that as well.

    https://twitter.com/ebeth360/status...booed-at-eagles-game-during-coin-toss-n644267

That’s about the size of it.

But where’s the video, Philadephia? What’s going on there?

Twitter erupts after Biden tells reporter gas in California has 'always' been $7 a gallon
Biden also claimed gas prices came down $1.35 and working on housing is the 'most important thing'

Prominent Twitters users attempted to fact-check Joe Biden after the president told a reporter that gas has "always" been $7 a gallon in California.

"The inflation report is out. Have you seen gas prices around here in LA? It’s 7 bucks a gallon almost," a reporter asked Biden as he paid for food at a Los Angeles-based taco shop.

"Well, that’s always been the case here," Biden replied. "You know, it’s not — what — nationwide, [gas prices] came down about $1.35, and they’re still down over a dollar. But we’re going to work on, housing is the big, is the most important thing we have to do in terms of that."

Social media users rushed to criticize Biden for his claim about gas prices in The Golden State, making note of his attempt to pivot the conversation towards housing.

"Bidenism at its finest in LA today. High gas prices is a housing problem?," James Gallagher, the Republican minority leader in the California Assembly, tweeted.

New York Republican gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin offered up his own fact-check of Biden, given the fact that gas was $3.36 a gallon in California when Biden was sworn in as president. "False. When Biden was sworn in as President, gas in California was actually less than half what it is today," he tweeted.

    https://twitter.com/RepLeeZeldin/st...-biden-tells-reporter-gas-california-7-gallon

California Republican Senate candidate Mark Meuser similarly criticized Biden’s claim and tweeted that the president was "out of touch" with how his policies are "destroying" the United States.

"I'm sorry Mr. President but California does not usually have $7 gas. In fact, prior to you becoming president, $5 gas in California was considered extremely high. You clearly are out of touch with how your policies are destroying this nation," he tweeted.

    https://twitter.com/MarkMeuser/stat...-biden-tells-reporter-gas-california-7-gallon

"AAA reported that the national average price of a gallon of #gas has climbed to $3.92 on Monday, however, in California it is up to $7! Biden has done nothing to stop this madness- in fact, his and Katie Porter’s out of control gov. spending is causing Americans to suffer more," California Republican House candidate Scott Baugh chimed in.

    https://twitter.com/millanpatterson...-biden-tells-reporter-gas-california-7-gallon

"To be clear, Democrats in Sacramento AND Washington are committed to making sure California has the highest gas prices in the nation.Great work @joebiden at helping us hit all those record high prices in the last year," California GOP Chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson sarcastically tweeted.

Biden similarly came under fire for comments he made to reporters on Saturday.

During a conversation with a reporter at a Baskin-Robbins in Portland, Oregon, Biden was asked if he had any worry about the strength of the U.S. dollar amid rising inflation.

With a chocolate chip ice cream cone in his hand, Biden answered, "I’m not concerned about the strength of the dollar. I’m concerned about the rest of the world. Our economy is strong as hell."

He added: "Inflation is worldwide. It’s worse off than it is in the United States. So the problem is the lack of economic growth and sound policy in other countries not so much ours. It’s worldwide inflation. It’s consequential."

State Department Cleans Up Diplomatic Mess After Biden Questions Pakistan Having Nuclear Weapons
    [IMG]

    CHRISTIAN K. CARUZO18 Oct 2022

The U.S. State Department on Tuesday walked back remarks questioning Pakistan’s ability to keep its nuclear weapons safe by leftist President Joe Biden, who went as far as to call the South Asian nation, a nominal ally of America’s, “one of the most dangerous nations in the world.”

Biden made the offending comments at a Democrat Party event at a private home in California last week.

Offering disorganized remarks commenting on nuclear weapons generally, Biden mentioned Pakistan amid boasting yet again that he has a close personal relationship with dictator Xi Jinping of China.

“I’ve spent more time with Xi Jinping than any person in — any head of state in Amer- — in the world,” Biden rambled, again making the dubious claim that he had traveled 17,000 miles with the genocidal leader, which earned him three out four “Pinocchios” from the Washington Post last year.

Biden then abruptly turned to Pakistan.

“This is a guy [Xi] who understands what he wants but has an enormous, enormous array of problems. How do we handle that?” the president asked. “How do we handle that relative to what’s going on in Russia? And what I think is maybe one of the most dangerous nations in the world: Pakistan. Nuclear weapons without any cohesion.”

“So, folks, there’s a lot going on. A lot going on,” he continued, never returning to elaborate on his opinion of Pakistan.

As reported by the Pakistani newspaper Dawn on Saturday, an official press release from the office of Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s office described President Biden’s words as “factually incorrect and misleading,” demanding that “unnecessary comments” should be avoided.

Following the publication of the event’s official transcript, Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Ministry immediately summoned the U.S. Ambassador to Islamabad Donal Blome and requested the ambassador deliver a demarche on President Biden’s comments.

“Pakistan’s disappointment and concern was conveyed to the US envoy on the unwarranted remarks, which were not based on ground reality or facts,” the Foreign Affairs Ministry’s press release read.

Principal Deputy Spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State Vendal Patel addressed the growing scandal on Tuesday, telling reporters, “the United States is confident of Pakistan’s commitment and its ability to secure nuclear assets.”

“The U.S. has always viewed a secure and prosperous Pakistan as critical to U.S. interests. And more broadly, the U.S. values our longstanding cooperation with Pakistan,” Patel added.

By the time the State Department intervened to diminish the outrage, most high-profile Pakistani political leaders had weighed in to condemn Biden. Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari told reporters on Saturday that he was surprised by President Biden’s comments, noting that Biden’s concerns over Pakistan’s nuclear weapon safety had not been raised by U.S. officials to him during his recent visit to the United States in September — when U.S. Secretary of Defense Anthony Blinken defended the sale of U.S. weapons to Pakistan.

The Islamic nation’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif responded to Biden’s comments through his Twitter account on Saturday with a post that read, “Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state and we are proud that our nuclear assets have the best safeguards as per IAEA requirements.”

“We take these safety measures with the utmost seriousness. Let no one have any doubts,” he asserted.

Nawaz Sharif, the prime minister’s brother and himself a former prime minister, also responded to Biden’s comments, writing, “our nuclear program is in no way a threat to any country.”

    https://twitter.com/NawazSharifMNS/...ess-biden-questions-pakistan-nuclear-weapons/

Imran Khan, who served as Pakistan’s prime minister between the terms of the Sharif brothers, reacted to Biden’s comments by stating that Biden’s words showed a “total failure of the imported government’s foreign policy and its claims of a reset of relations with the U.S.”

Khan’s tenure in office — marked by thousands-strong Muslim mobs repeatedly rioting in response to alleged slights to sharia, or the Islamic law — largely served to highlight the instability in the country that prompted Biden’s comments. Khan himself is an avowed Islamist who has reverently referred to al-Qaeda terrorist Osama bin Laden as a “martyr” and demanded global anti-blasphemy laws overriding state sovereignty to protect Muslims from “Islamophobia.”

Pakistan’s longstanding geopolitical rivalry with neighboring India is also cause for alarm. Both nations possess nuclear weapons and share more than seven decades of historical tensions, often erupting into violence in the disputed Kashmir region. India currently controls and claims Jammu and Kashmir as its sovereign territory. Pakistan considers the territories “occupied” by India, going as far as to express its intention of conquering the disputed lands.

The disputed region is home to constant attacks and skirmishes between Indian and Pakistani forces, with 2018 being considered the deadliest year for the region for having over 500 registered casualties. On Tuesday, two Indian laborers were killed in a grenade attack that Indian police have deemed a “hybrid terrorist” attack carried out by militants fighting Indian rule of the Kashmir region. India considers the Kashmir rebel militias as Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

The two countries’ distaste for each other’s governments has spilled over into seemingly unrelated forums, most recently during a debate this month at the United Nations regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. During the debate, the Pakistani representative used his time to condemn India’s policy in Kashmir, prompting a rebuke from the Indian ambassador and derailing the conversation about Ukraine.

Biden Shows What a Small Man He Is When Doocy Asks About Top Issue for Americans
By Nick Arama | 7:00 PM on October 19, 2022

Joe Biden has a long history of not being able to take being challenged. He may be the first person ever running for president who seemed to have a habit of insulting voters when they asked him questions that he didn’t like, including calling voters “lying dog-faced pony soldier” and “look, fat,” as well as telling another voter he was lying and “full of sh*t” before saying that he should “take him outside.”

Biden showed that temper again when he was challenged earlier about whether his continued release from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve was “political” to help Democrats in the election.

He also had another moment when he was asked a question by Fox’s Peter Doocy as to which was the top domestic priority for the Administration — inflation or abortion?

Now, we saw how badly House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) handled that question when asked by MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell. Pelosi said she didn’t agree with the polls that said that inflation and crime were the most important issues, not abortion.

    https://twitter.com/tomselliott/sta...cy-asks-about-top-issue-for-americans-n645805

She denies what Americans are saying is most important and she wonders why the Democrats are in trouble in this election.

Biden went in the same direction, but instead of just answering the question, he also added an insult against Peter Doocy as well.

    https://twitter.com/townhallcom/sta...cy-asks-about-top-issue-for-americans-n645805

“They’re all important, unlike you, there’s no one thing,” Biden shot back at Doocy. “It crosses the border…We oughta be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.” Then he raised his fist and beat it out of there.

Now I’m not sure whether there he’s saying “unlike you” meaning Doocy isn’t important, or “unlike you, there’s no one thing” meaning he can do more than Doocy by concentrating on more than one issue/question. Either way, it was an effort to put him down. That’s Biden, just a nasty, small man. He got in trouble before when he was caught on a hot mic calling Doocy a “son of a bitch.” He later called him up but didn’t say he was sorry for what he had done. He also called him a “one horse pony” on another occasion, in yet a third insult.

In addition to insulting Doocy, he also refused to truly answer the question. Saying “they’re all important” means that you’re not treating one as more important than the other. “All are important” means no, inflation isn’t your “top priority.” Once again, that shows voters exactly what you care about — and it isn’t the economy. He doesn’t want to offend anyone on the left by saying abortion isn’t the most important thing and he doesn’t want to talk about inflation because he’s done such a horrible job on it. Indeed, had he cared about the economy or inflation as his top issue, he wouldn’t have driven us into the state that we are in now with the worst inflation in 40 years — he was too busy spending on his agenda items making everything worse.

But it’s funny he said they “oughta be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.” He’s shown that he can’t do that while he’s failed at virtually every issue that he’s faced.

Joe Biden Voices Fears of a Red Wave and ‘MEGA MAGA’ Republicans Seizing Power

    CHARLIE SPIERING21 Oct 2022

President Joe Biden on Friday acknowledged that polls were swinging toward Republicans and issued a last-minute economic warning to Americans if they took power.

“If you’re worried about the economy, you need to know this. Republican leadership in congress has made it clear,” Biden said. “They will crash the economy next year by threatening the full faith and credit of the United States.”

Biden delivered a speech at the White House warning that if Republicans won power in Congress, they would stop his multi-trillion dollar spending agenda and push for tax cuts and spending cuts.

“It’s MEGA MAGA trickle down,” Biden repeated. “The kind of policies that have failed the country before and will fail again.”

The president appeared unsettled by reports that the polls are increasingly shifting toward Republicans, pointing to the likelihood of a “red wave” in November.

“It’s back and forth and the polls have been all over the place,” he said. “I think we are going to see one more shift back to our side in the closing days.”

Biden stressed that more Americans would ultimately realize that he was doing well on the economy and give him and the Democrats more credit.

“We’re moving in the right direction, there’s more to come,” he said, referring to the economy.

Biden also warned that inflation would only increase if Republicans took power.

“They talk about inflation?” he asked. “Everything they are proposing will make inflation worse.”
