A Democratic congressman has been in touch with the U.S. Capitol police and the FBI as they investigate alleged death threats against lawmakers from Roger Stone.

The Donald Trump-aligned right-wing activist told a member of his security team that he wanted Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) killed, according to an audio recording from just before the 2020 election. Nadler said he has been in communication with investigators, reported The Guardian.

“It was a surprise to me," Nadler said. "I just found out a few days ago."

Both Nadler and Swalwell serve on the House Judiciary Committee, which had announced an investigation into Trump's decision to commute Stone's sentence for federal crimes a few months earlier.

Stone has denied making the threats, saying the conversation “never happened," and claims the recording was generated by artificial intelligence.

Swalwell compared Stone's recorded statements to the "ravings of a wannabe gangster," and said he takes them seriously.

“Because I’m one of Trump’s loudest critics, Stone put a hit out on me," Swalwell said. "This threat, and other threats of violence by Trump and his supporters, must be taken seriously by not only law enforcement but also by my colleagues.”

As we have seen many times now the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republican Traitor Trump cult followers are dangerous and do resort to actual violence. And of course we have always had them threatening violence. But the experts on violence and especially domestic terrorism have lately been sounding the alarm that threat is becoming much more imminent. And the reason is they feel reality closing in on them. Just like the mental health experts said and Trump proved them right the more he fails and the more he feels reality closing in on him the more dangerous he becomes. And the violence and terrorism experts say the same is true for his cult followers. They can see feel or even just sense Trump's increasing desperation. Which in turn makes them feel more desperate as well. And that is when they are most likely to lash out with acts of actual violence. And they go on to point out that while threats of political violence are increasing exponentially those are not necessarily the ones wee need to be worrying about as the most dangerous. The most dangerous according to them are the ones who get pushed over the edge and act without saying a word. Law enforcement has no way of knowing who they might be and without knowing that its almost impossible to stop them before they attack.



Arizona Trump fan charged with threats to kill Biden and carry out mass shooting

The Justice Department has charged an Arizona man named David Hanson with making death threats aimed at President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Hanson is also accused of threatening a mass shooting at the University of New Mexico, revealed screen captures posted by Seamus Hughes from the National Counterterrorism Innovation, Technology and Education Center.

Among the threats, which appeared on the social media site X, was a demand that Biden and Harris resign or be "brutally murdered." Another called for bombing the White House, while a separate post called for the White House bombing with a gif of the film "Independence Day" in which aliens blow up the building, the DOJ's filing claims.

Perhaps one of the more embarrassing posts threatened to kill the two leaders with a screenshot of a job application from Goodwill, which included the name "Michael Hanson."

The first account Hanson is accused of posting under was @popyourcherry24, with the second being @trump20286more.

Some tweets appeared on Nov. 19, 2023. Others appeared on Dec. 23, 2023. Law enforcement said Hanson told investigators it didn't matter because no one followed his accounts.

One, which is still online, shares a video posted by V.P. Harris saying #kamalaisdead.

Earlier in 2023, Hanson threatened to commit a mass shooting on the University of New Mexico campus, where he was taking a film class, according to the charges.

"However, prior to the start of the semester, Hanson had been involved in an incident with a female student who made a formal complaint about Hanson," the filing says. "The reason for the complaint varied, but at some point, the university pulled Hanson's admission and his student loans without getting Hanson's side of the incident.

"When speaking about this, Hanson, again became very emotional. Hanson then stated that several days ago, the university reached out to Hanson to complete an investigation into the incident, including Hanson's side of the events. A day or so later, the university either needed to change the date of the online interview or changed its mind about the interview all together."

Hanson then said he felt "trapped in hell" living in Phoenix "and was trying to get to heaven. He needed someone to blame," the filing said.

In a video posted to "X" earlier on Nov. 19, 2023, Hanson appeared to name off a slate of grievances, the filing said.

"I'm rich and famous. Movie producer and my app is designed. That's a landslide victory. It ain't even close. Donald Trump is Ronald Reagan. Joe Biden is out of the White House. I told you, you should have nominated Gavin Newsom and Hillary Clinton. It's the Matrix. They're peasants. Right! I will! I know!" he shouts, holding his hand in a gesture used by the "Three Percenters" militia.

"Ah yes! Ah, yes! I just swept y'all! And that's why the Suns are eliminated," he closed in the video.

Man murders his father while demanding rebellion against 'Biden regime'

An eastern Pennsylvania man has been charged with brutally murdering his father and posting a grisly video of himself online.

Police said 32-year-old Justin Mohn killed his father, who was a federal employee for 20 years, and then recorded video of himself decapitating the body and posted that on YouTube, where the clip was viewed more than 5,000 times before it was removed, reported WPVI-TV.

The slain man's wife returned to their Middletown Township home and found his decapitated body covered in blood, but the son had already fled in his father's vehicle.

Mohn claimed he was president in the 14-minute video and said many saw him as the messiah, and he blamed President Joe Biden and the federal government for "far-left woke mobs," immigrants and "globalists and communists" intent on destroying the United States.

He identified as a militia leader and called his father a traitor for having worked for the federal government, and he urged others to kill their relatives who were government workers.

"Violence is the only solution to the federal government's treason," he said, holding up a plastic bag containing the severed head.

Mohn was taken into custody about 100 miles away in Fort Indiantown Gap, home of "America's busiest National Guard Training Center," and charged with murder and abuse of a corpse, among other charges.

Killing shows Trump losing control of fans triggered by violent rhetoric: analysis

Donald Trump is losing control over the unstable MAGA base his violent rhetoric pushes past the brink of sanity, and the proof is a decapitated federal worker’s head, a new analysis contends.

Salon’s Amanda Marcotte Thursday took a hard look at the disturbing news to come out of Pennsylvania Tuesday night when Justin Mohn, 33, posted YouTube video demanding violence against the government with his dead father’s head in full view.

Marcotte acknowledges Mohn’s mental health problems, but argues there’s a bigger issue to blame.

“The people who spread hateful and violent rhetoric, starting with Donald Trump, know full well that unstable people are listening and will take this rhetoric as an excuse to act,” writes Marcotte. “In many cases, the loudmouths are counting on it.”

This tactic nearly served Trump’s purposes well on Jan. 6, 2021, when his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in hopes of disrupting the peaceful transfer of power to reinstate their leader.

Subsequent investigations have found mental health problems were rife among the hordes, which Marcotte argues makes them valuable for a very specific reason.

“Trump knows full well that a lot of his biggest fans are unwell or in crisis, which makes them vulnerable to conspiracy theories and false promises that MAGA (or QAnon) will give them community and purpose,” Marcotte writes.

“That's also likely why Trump saw the Capitol rioters as especially disposable.”

Trump’s “just jokes” defense may protect him in the short term, but as the presidential race gains speed and he amps up his tactics, he’s finding himself unable to control what “the little guys” behind him will do, Marcotte argues.

“They're lashing out in a chaotic manner close to home,” Marcotte writes, “instead of in strategic ways to advance the MAGA agenda.”

Trump would probably like to see his base organize another mass political disruption but without the power of the White House behind him, he can’t solve the problem they face, Marcotte writes.

“Trump followers have been scared away from more organized violence,” Marcotte writes. “In truth, they just don’t want to get arrested…and are using conspiracy theories to justify their own cold feet.”

But as Trump blasts his followers with violent rhetoric and the main base comes up with strange excuses, it’s the mentally unwell people on the fringes who are pushed far enough to take action, Marcotte concludes.

“All that hate and anger is going to go somewhere,” she writes, “and often the target is close to home.”

Taylor Swift at risk from violent MAGA fans who have declared 'holy war' on her: expert

According to a University of Kansas professor who teaches a course on the impact that singer Taylor Swift has had upon contemporary culture, that star is running the risk of being the victim of political violence since becoming a target of fans of Donald Trump.

Although the popular performer has not endorsed President Joe Biden, she has angered a fringe segment of the country due to her outspoken opposition to Trump, combined with her high-profile relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce that has spawned a wave of outlandish conspiracy theories suggesting their relationship will somehow impact the 2024 presidential election.

Leading the way is former fringe GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy who amplified equally fringe suspicions about Swift from one of the conservative influencers who promoted a conspiracy about a pedophile ring being run out of a pizza restaurant by Hillary Clinton. That became known as "Pizzagate" and resulted in a shooting at the restaurant.

Writing on X, Jack Posobiec stated, "Thinking about when Taylor Swift called out the Soros family in 2019 for buying the rights to her music and then how she came out a super liberal in 2020."

Ramaswamy to chime in: "I wonder who’s going to win the Super Bowl next month. And I wonder if there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall. Just some wild speculation over here, let’s see how it ages over the next 8 months."

With that in mind, University of Kansas professor Brian Donovan, who teaches a “The Sociology of Taylor Swift” course, was asked by Politico's Catherine Kim if he thought the pop singer would jump in with both feet and endorse Biden.

'I think she’ll endorse Joe Biden," he replied. "And she might even make a campaign appearance or two, but I don’t see her throwing herself into politics in a really robust way. Part of that is due to the fact that I just don’t think she speaks the language of politics and activism. She’s a great storyteller and is brilliant at so many things. But I don’t think she sees that as one of her strengths."

He then added the caveat that she may already be a target for Trump's MAGA base which has shown a proclivity for violence, as was apparent when they stormed the nation's Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

"The other reason I don’t think she is going to be more vocal about politics is personal safety. The article that ran in Rolling Stone that right-wing operatives are declaring a “Holy War” on her honestly frightened me," he explained.

"We’re living in a time of heightened political violence and deep political polarization. And she is out in public performing for tens of thousands of people. Just on a pure safety level, her getting more vocal about politics might not necessarily be a good thing."

Nikki Haley asks Secret Service for help as threats against her increase: report

Nikki Haley is requesting Secret Service protection as Donald Trump amps up his character attacks and threats against her increase, according to a new report.

Haley, the last opponent standing in a once-crowded Republican presidential nomination race, confirmed to the Wall Street Journal she’s faced "multiple issues."

The former South Carolina governor reportedly added, “It’s not going to stop me from doing what I need to do."

Haley’s team must now grapple with how intense security will affect her scheduled campaign and United Nations work, according to the report.

The request to federal officials arrived after a woman tried to rush the stage during a rally in South Carolina. Last month, Haley’s home was swatted.

The threats arrive as Trump ramps up attacks against Haley, which news analysts at NPR characterize as racist.

Those attacks include suggesting Haley could not run because her parents were not U.S. citizens and mocking her birth name, Nimarata Nikki Randhawa, NPR notes.

FBI arrests man who planned to fire sniper rounds and set off explosives at the border

A Tennessee man whom the FBI says was planning to join a border-focused militia group and set off explosives and fire off sniper rounds at the U.S.-Mexico border was arrested this Monday, Court Watch reported.

Paul Faye was first targeted by authorities after they found communications between him and another man who was arrested for planning attacks at the border. Over the next year, agents conducted an undercover operation where Faye told them that “the patriots are going to rise up because we are being invaded. We are being invaded.”

He also allegedly told an undercover agent that he was “coordinating with militia groups from Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee" and that his job as a militia member was to act as a sniper.

“I’ll be the first one on the scene, and the last one to leave," he allegedly said. "The reason why I say that is, if something, just say that we were going down like that, before you even put yourself in danger, I would be on top that roof right there, zeroing out, taking out anybody. And then as y’all coming out, I’m going to be taking out."

He also told an agent that he was in possession of explosives that he planned to use.

Ex-Wisconsin GOP Chairman Admits He Went Along With Trump Fake Electors Plot Because He ‘Was Scared to Death’

Andrew Hitt, the former chairman of the Wisconsin Republican Party and a 2020 “fake elector” for Donald Trump, spoke with CBS’s 60 Minutes and explained how he felt “tricked” by the former president.

Wisconsin was one of seven swing states where then-President Trump and his allies endeavored to overturn the 2020 election results, using a scheme in which Republican electors for Trump gathered together and cast fake electoral votes for Trump despite him losing the state. These “fake electors” were then meant to replace the Biden electors during the Jan. 6, 2021 electoral count in order to alter the outcome of the election.


“We were tricked. We weren’t made aware of any ulterior motive or scheme. And we wouldn’t have gone along with it had we been,” Hitt told Anderson Cooper, saying he would not have participated had he known Trump allies were doing this across the country.

“We viewed what we were doing [as] simply a contingency plan; the documents we signed would have no meaning unless a court gave them meaning. It’s clear now that those documents were used on Jan. 6 to, at the very least, help create the chaos of that day,” he added.




“Whenever anybody sees our text messages, our emails, our documents — they understand. Their conclusion is we were tricked. The January 6th committee saw it. Jack Smith, specifically in his indictment, refers to ‘some of the electors were tricked.’ That was us,” Hitt noted.

Hitt also discussed his fears of what Trump supporters might do to him and his family had he refused to go along.

“If I didn’t do that, and the court did throw out those votes, it would have been solely my fault that Trump wouldn’t have won Wisconsin. Can you imagine the repercussions on myself, my family, if it was me, Andrew Hitt, who prevented Donald Trump from winning Wisconsin?” he said.

“You’re saying you were scared?” followed up Cooper.

“Absolutely,” Hitt replied.

“Scared of Trump supporters in your state?” Cooper added.


“It was not a safe time. If my lawyer is right and the whole reason Trump loses Wisconsin is because of me, I would be scared to death,” he replied.




Hitt, who told Cooper he worked tirelessly in 2020 to reelect Trump, does not support him in 2024 and said the country needs to “move on” and find a way to have faith in institutions again.
