Pathetic Proud Boys Ruin Another Pride Month Event for Kids at Indiana Library

The Proud Boys are continuing their pathetic crusade against entirely voluntary Pride Month events for kids at libraries. This time, seven members of the far-right group, who claim to be protecting children, stormed a storytime hour at the Virginia M. Tutt library in South Bend, Indiana. They left after about 40 minutes, but library staff were so rattled they canceled the event. “This definitely came as a shock,” library system spokesperson Marissa Gebhard told WVPE. “We were not anticipating any problems...The library is a place of belonging, and it’s a place for everyone.” The extremist group have targeted several other storytime events recently, even pulling a gun on kids at a Nevada library. “This appears to be a tactic or strategy that the Proud Boys are using to harass, threaten, and intimidate members of the LGBTQ community,” midwest regional director of the Anti-Defamation League David Goldenberg told ABC 57.

Ohio National Guardsman dreamed of shooting up synagogue — and selling 'ghost guns' to other racists: Feds

According to WBNS News, a member of the Ohio National Guard was arrested this week on suspicion of selling illegal, untraceable "ghost gun" kits, including mechanisms that can convert an AR-15 into a fully automatic machine gun.

"The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio announced federal agents arrested 24-year-old Thomas Devlin for making the untraceable homemade weapons made in whole or in part with a 3D printer," said the report. "Develin allegedly created the ghost guns to sell for profit. He also allegedly possessed homemade conversion devices to convert semi-automatic AR-15 rifles and Glock-type pistols into fully automatic machine guns. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said agents discovered more than 25 firearms in Develin’s residence and vehicle while executing a search warrant in March 2022."

As the report noted, Develin also has been indicted for allegedly making terroristic threats towards Jews online, while working as a security guard for the Torah Academy in Columbus. He has also allegedly advocated the rape of women in online posts.

"In September 2021, it is alleged Develin posted a picture of the synagogue where he was working at the time and stated, in part, 'Having an inner debate that if an active shooter comes in I might just join him,'" said the report. "In November 2021, Develin allegedly posted a video of himself sniffing a rifle. In the video, Develin says, 'This one smells like dead Jews.' In a December 2021 Discord post, Develin allegedly wrote, 'Ight, time to turn wright pat airbase into Fort hood in 2009.' In January 2022, Develin allegedly posted a picture of a New Albany synagogue with the text, 'The holocaust didn’t happen' and 'If anything I’ll scream 6 million wasn’t enough.'"

Hate crimes have exploded in recent years, one of the most horrific being the 2018 shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh by a far-right gunman. Many other threats have been levied against Jewish centers and synagogues; a 2017 report suggested that the perpetrators were using sophisticated technology to spoof phone numbers to avoid being detected.

The proliferation of untraceable "ghost guns," too, has raised alarms with law enforcement; in April, President Joe Biden issued a new executive order sharply restricting the availability of kits to design them.

Alleged Proud Boys hit with pepper spray while storming bar that planned all ages drag show

After a bar in Woodland, California, canceled a "Drag Queen Happy Hour" event due to what they said were threats of violence, video emerged showing a confrontation outside the bar, ABC10 reports.

The all-ages event was intended to mark the ending of Pride month, but organizers say they were worried about the right-wing group Proud Boys disrupting the event.

ABC10's Luke Cleary shared video of the confrontation, showing the "alleged Proud Boys" approaching the bar asking, "How many kids are in there?" Then, someone from inside the bar lets off a volley of pepper spray, causing the men and even the police officers on scene to retreat.

"Pedophile motherf***ers," one person yells after being hot with pepper spray.

The men wouldn't Identify to ABC10 what group they were affiliated with, but Woodland Police described them as an "organized group" but have not identified them.

Arizona GOP election official quits over threats from ‘nasty’ Trump supporters: report

Donald Trump's continued lies about the 2020 presidential election he lost has resulted in the loss of yet another GOP official.

"The elected county recorder and the elections director in Arizona’s Yavapai County are resigning after more than a year and a half of threats and heated criticism from backers of former President Donald Trump who accept his lie that he lost the 2020 election because of fraud," the Associated Press reported Saturday. "County Recorder Leslie Hoffman said Friday that she is fed up with the "nastiness" and has accepted a job outside the county. Her last day will be July 22. She said longtime elections director Lynn Constabile is leaving for the same reason, and Friday is her last day."

The news comes less than a week after Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) revealed evidence of witness tampering during a public hearing of the House Select Committee Investigating the Jan. 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol.

"A lot of it is the nastiness that we have dealt with," Hoffman said. "I’m a Republican recorder living in a Republican county where the candidate that they wanted to win won by 2-to-1 in this county and still getting grief, and so is my staff."

"I’m not sure what they think that we did wrong," she said. "And they’re very nasty. The accusations and the threats are nasty."

Ken Matta, the head of election security at the Arizona Secretary of State's office, quit his job in May, also citing the threats.

Early ballots for the August primary are to be mailed next week.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) has been under attack since going up against President Donald Trump, but after taking on the role of the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on Congress, he says he has been getting more serious threats.

"Threats of violence over politics have increased heavily in the last few years. But the darkness has reached new lows," Kinzinger tweeted Tuesday. "My new interns made this compilation of recent calls they've received while serving in my DC office."

Last week, he revealed that he'd been threatened, but so were his wife and new baby.

“We know who your family is, and we’re going to get you, get you little c*cksucker, you c*cksucking little bastard, gonna get your wife, gonna get your kids,” said the caller.

"I'm going to come to protest in front of your house this weekend. We know where your family is, and we're going to get you ... We're going to get your wife, going to get your kids," said one of the calls in the recording.

“I guess I can’t say a whole lot more other than I hope you naturally die as quickly as f*cking possible you f*cking piece of sh*t," said another.

One caller, evidently a Republican, called Kinzinger a “backstabbing son of a b*tch” and swears that he will “get stomped down in no time." The caller goes on to threaten to "protest" his home.

Kinzinger certainly isn't the only one. According to Axios, members of Congress have reported an increase in threats against lawmakers in the last five years. U.S. Capitol Police revealed it has opened more than 1,800 cases after threats made on lawmakers.

Republican celebrates after explosion destroys Georgia monument she claimed was 'Satanic'

Kandiss Taylor, a former Republican candidate to be Georgia's governor who has refused to concede despite losing by more than 70 points to incumbent Brian Kemp, is celebrating the destruction of a local monument that she has claimed is "Satanic."

Taylor, who ran on a platform of "Jesus, Guns and Babies," has for months targeted the mysterious Georgia Guidestones that were erected on behalf of an unknown benefactor in the late 1970s and that have been the subject of conspiracy theories thanks to inscriptions that include phrases such as, "Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a one world court."

In fact, Taylor even drafted an executive order to tear down the monuments that she would have enacted should she had been elected governor.

"They erected statues spelling out the exact plans they had for us, and today we the people of Georgia, say no more," she wrote in explaining her executive order. "It's time for us to return the favor. On my first day as Governor of Georgia, I will move to DEMOLISH the Demonic plans of our enemy. The Satanic agenda is NOT welcome in our state."

As local news station WSB-TV reports, part of the monument was destroyed this week and law enforcement officials believe that some individuals planted an explosive device near it in an attempt to wipe it out completely.

Taking to Twitter, Taylor celebrated news of the monument's destruction.

"God is God all by Himself," she wrote. "He can do ANYTHING He wants to do. That includes striking down Satanic Guidestones."

So, the conclusion we get from this is that despicables are upset that a satanic monument has been damaged?

 

The right wing violence has begun, but it's in the Netherlands now. The Netherlands doesn't really seem like a protest country - at least compared to other European countries. Even just looking at the recent farmer's protests, which have been quite intense at times, it’s nothing compared to the yellow vests in France earlier in the year, or the protests in Barcelona last week.

Protests in the Netherlands seem mild, mostly non-violent, and rare when we look at other countries.

Dutch farmers angry at government plans to slash emissions have blocked roads and supermarket distribution centers for several days, sparking fears of food shortages. The unrest among Dutch farmers was triggered by a government proposal to slash emissions of pollutants like nitrogen oxide and ammonia by 50% by 2030. Provincial governments have been given a year to formulate plans to achieve the goal.

The reforms are expected to include reducing livestock and buying up some farms whose animals produce large amounts of ammonia. Farmers argue they are being unfairly targeted and are being given no perspective for their future.
