I found these on the net and thought they were interesting enough to show here.
They are taken using 'Infrared photography.'

I think they are fairly neat and different.

The basic theories of infrared imaging and photography are known to me, but until I looked at these, I never really considered the beauty and wonder that could be revealed by it.




This one is called "Tropical Garden."

 

Lovely pictures, especially the second one. It almost seems as a place out of this world.

It's probably not the right place to ask this, since it seems more like a chill off-topic place, but.. I'm sort-of working on a new story, and I'd like to see what others think of how plausible does this part sound.

"Even after your mortal body dies, your spirit body stays connected to it. Only the temporary death of your spirit body can disconnect the cord that connects the two bodies, and..."

It doesn't sound that great to me, which is why I'm asking. I've noticed however that most movies about afterlife don't explain how just a 'soul' or whatever can interact with human(s), or how is it that they have a body of flesh in afterlife. I could ignore it as most seem to do, but, it's an integral part of the story (their bodies, that is).

I am used to my family's musical ability (and my grandmother was a pianist/organist who could put Liberace to shame while one of my cousins is a professional jazz singer in LA). I have a very HIGH standard to be met.

Since we are talking about everything except writing, how about talking about artist's conceptualizations of writer's thoughts.

Tin Man is a tale about Oz decades after Dorothy went and returned and there is a prophecy about a double eclipse of the sunS. The concept is that Oz is a binary system and a single moon will eclipse both suns at one time. If you look at the picture, it certainly implies that but think about the lighting on the displayed moon face - there should be a double crescent lit by the individual suns with a PALE full face due to reflected light from the surface of the planet. IOW, the moon should show as if it were nearing NEW instead of showing as if it were nearing FULL.

 

You're assuming that your understanding of astronomy and light applies in that universe. Interesting question. Should it?
