I'm going to agree with the LotR Trilogy, i couldnt make it throught any of them i had to turn them off

 

lol, if you fell asleep during the movies and NOT during the books i applaud you....lol...i fell asleep during 300...but i was trashed to hell.

 

I frequantly fell asleep during the book but did eventually get through it...

 

i was a big fan of 300, but im easily entertained when theres violence involved,

Slumdog Millionaire and it is going to win an Oscar on Sunday for Best Picture. I thought it was an ugly nasty movie. The filmmaker exploited the children, making him as guilty as Fagin characters in the film. Oh and speaking of Fagin this movie is a ripoff of Oliver Twist only taking place in India.

 

Now that I think about it "I still know what you did last summer" was one the worst movies I've ever seen. Aside from the self-inflicted head-trauma inspiring title, it had a moronic plot.
Teenagers win a trip to an Island by saying that Rio was the capital of Brazil. Of course (I realized this half-way through the movie), Rio is NOT the capital of Brazil, but the radio host (who was the cousin, brother, or lover of the kid the stupid kids run over in the first movie) let them win in order to slaughter them on the island. That's all I remember.
I hate those kind of movies anyway. There's no plot, ever and the minimum of plot the do have is always the same. Teenagers get killed by Psycho. That's it. Totally devoid of anything that one could really consider a plot, no character development, no underlying message, or thought. Just pure violence.

 

I'm going to say that I thought the original Hostel was one of the most over-rated movies it's been a disappointment to watch. What made it worse, was there was actually a good movie in there. In fact there were about four or five good movies in there. That was the problem.

It was as if the person directing it, couldn't decide what kind of movie it was going to be. Is it going to be an evil guy setting up some teens, for nasty things to happen kinda movie? Nope. How about "spooky ass kids doing unspeakable things to the teens" movie? Nope. What about a creepy psychological horror movie? Nope. How about a more gorier than saw, but with a cleverer plot, movie? Nope.

What it did, was switch to trying to be any one of the above, roughly every 15 minutes. And by not having the guts to commit to any one single idea, failed epically on all of them.

Put simply, it bored me. I also sat and watched it with three other people, two of whom are die hard movie fans, and the other of which enjoys great horror movies.

We all hated it, for pretty much the same reason. Tries a lot of things, and gets nowhere brilliantly.

Worse movie I've ever seen has to be.....(hold on I need to think) Johnson Family Vacation or any of the more recent "insert lame title" Movie ie Date Movie. I didn't find the family vacation funny at all and shut it off the same with date movie. Basically everything those people have done after Scary Movie is crap and utter garbage. Better yet they shouldn't even be released in movie theathers, instant bargin bin(even though I found some good movies in a bargin bin).

A great movie, a cult classic!

 

actually i quite enjoyed Hostel. I'll admit that it started of inconspicuously then shifted gears but that made the plot even more interesting.

Worst movie ever? There are so many different kinds of shitty movies, each of them shitty in their own way, that it jut can't be answered.

But honestly, I thought 2001: A Space Odyssey was a steaming pile. That book is fantastic, the whole series by Arthur C. Clarke is, but Kubrick was so caught up in making a beautiful movie he forgot to convey a coherent story, and we ended up with a ton of loooooooong scenes setting the mood for a story that never unfolded.

 

I have to agree with 2001 not being all everyone says it is. I've tried watching that movie a number of times, and usually lose the will to live about the time people arrive on the space station...

I'll add three words to something I just don't get, don't like and don't want to watch.

Maybe I should write to them and suggest waiting outside any place playing an Adam Sandler comedy, as an excellent place to test it...
