What a waste of celluloid

 

I'm too lazy to read through all 4 pages so i dont know if anyone said this but, I tried watching dead silence (about a lady and her puppet who kill people) and i just couldn't do it. I stopped 10 minutes in cause i couldn't handle the mediocrity.

 

In terms of the absolute worst movie I ever saw, that would be a video rental of something called "The Vision." It was - supposedly - a horror movie, involving people being possessed or something, by watching a satanic (!?) video. There were only two main drawbacks to it;

1) Nothing horrific happened in it.
2) Nothing else of note happened in it either.

Perhaps it says something about the sheer epic failing of this movie, that the most "horrific" and "special effect laden" part of it, was when a TV dribbled what looked like tomato ketchup over a bit of it's screen, which was apparently supposed to be blood. No joke. That was as exciting as it got.

Acting? Storyline? Great cast? Shock ending? Yes, it had none of those, in equal measure.

I honestly feel they should dig up that movie from the vault of horror, and show it to hopeful movie makers with the advisory; "This is how not to make a film!" Hopefully, it would prevent it from ever happening again.

And if you ever see it for sale, for rental, or showing on TV at 3am... don't make the same mistake I did, in watching it. Nothing - not even an Adam Sandler movie, starring Eddie Murphy, Chevy Chase and Steve Martin - could prepare you for it's lameness. Nothing.

I nominate "Starship Troopers 2" Fucking horrible movie.

 

I liked the first Starship troopers, Scarlet, even though it was a dumb, over the top, throwaway movie, I like dumb, over the top throwaway movies! (Let's face it Arnold Schwarzenegger made his entire career playing in those).

Never sat through any of the others though.

Hmm... another nomination for worst movie ever; ANY National Lampoon movie, after "National Lampoon's Animal House". For any number of reasons, including but not limited to;

They had nothing to do with the original movie, they didn't star any of the original cast, they weren't funny, or even mildly amusing, they didn't have the streak of anarchism in them that Animal House did, and they insisted on using Chevy Chase at every possible opportunity, when the man can't even spell funny, much less be it...

(Seriously, think of any Chevy Chase movie, where you've watched it, and immediately thought; "Gotta go out and buy the DVD of that!")

I could go with the original Worst Movie Ever: Plan 9 from Outer Space.

But I think I'm going to go with Reuben and Ed. If you've never seen it, if you've never even heard of it, do yourself a favor and DON'T WATCH IT.

It's the story of a couple of guys who go out into the desert to bury a dead cat. Yes, that's it. Seriously. Somehow they expanded that into an hour and a half.

It's not that it has no plot; it's that it gives you tantalizing hints at a plot, haunting you years later as you think back on it and wonder whether there was something more to it that you just didn't get, or if it really was just that bad.

Between the lack of plot, characters that you really don't care about at all (Do they win? Do they lose? Who cares?), and no resolution because there's nothing to resolve, this movie goes beyond having no redeeming qualities; it sucks redeeming qualities right out of anyone who watches it, leaving you worse off than you were an hour and a half ago.

Of course, I only saw it sober, so maybe it makes more sense drunk. I can't imagine the writers being sober when they wrote it.

That said, it had one, that's right, one line that made me laugh:

"I am the King of the Echo People!"

 

Borat is the most retarded movie I have ever seen. I know that it has been said a few time but I can't believe I wasted my time on that movie.
