Take a small ruler, place it under the erection, and LOOK DOWN.
It is then possible to see a reasonably accurate measure of width or diameter.
Naturally, we would round all measurements up to the nearest 1/16th inch.

Actually to all the post who recommend using Pi to calculate your circumference of your penis, it will result in an estimate, or rather, a number slightly off. For 2 reasons. one is the fact you won't be be able to correctly estimate the diameter of your penis. Also, Pi ,which is about 3.14, is used to find the circumference of a circle. And I guarantee you, your penis is not a circle, if anything it is more closely related to an ellipse. therefroe, uding Pi won't necessarily givre you an exact answer, somehting close, but not exact. Also, use a string, or measuring tape, like the one they use when u get tailored or w/e that is. Tie it around an measure.

It's absured to multiply the diameter by pi when you can't accurately determine the diameter in the first place...unless you have a pair of calipers handy.

Much easier to use my trusty tape measure.

By the way, I find the chart to be a fair representation of my preferences...but even a guy with a "D" cock can give me a good time. As every female can attest, no erect penis is a constant diameter throughout it's entire length. I believe women will overwhelmingly agree that girth is more important than length.
It's far easier for a man to measure the width of his fully erect penis by using a ruler rather than wrapping a string or tape measure around it.
Maintaining an erection while trying to measure circumference is almost as hard as keeping an erection while taking a good picture of it.
A pair of good mechanical calipers would also be more accurate.
I also suggest a helpful female partner or good pornography on the VCR vacillates the measuring as well.
