Song reminds me of first year out of school, started my career and moved into a place of my own (could afford one without a roommate for a change). Bought a convertible as a reward to myself for finishing my degree and spent Fridays at Gold Club in Sacramento or Fantasy Girls in Reno. That was a fun summer

Speaking of “Milton”

I didn’t watch this much, well it was hardly on while I was growing up, but I do remember it as part of some early morning cartoons.

 

I remember when our family went from a Zenith black and white TV set to our first color RCA TV.
( both similar to the pics above)

My friend around the corner always seemed to have the most up to date appliances etc.

It was cool when I first saw this at his house.

I used to root for #3, the scientist/inventor, knowing his car can turn into almost anything.
However, there was alway a snag.

 

my sister always picked,
Penelope Pitstop, ( I believe she
was the only woman in the race)

 

and of course, you needed a villain,
Dick Dasterly, #00

 

This was a spin-off

So who ever did the voice for Dick Dastardly’s dog, Muttley,
Also did the voice for granny’s dog,
Precious Pupp.

 

Quick trivia knowledge:
Cheryl Ladd did the voice for the blonde, drummer.

 

…and then there was this ( not that I really watched either show unless there was nothing else on.
