Dems storm out of Syria meeting with Trump: 'We have to pray for his health'

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer announced at a news conference outside the White House on Wednesday that they had just walked out of a meeting with President Trump on Syria policy, after he apparently called Pelosi either a "third-rate politician" or "third-grade politician" and angrily suggested the Democrats probably appreciated communist Islamic State terrorists in the Middle East.

"What we witnessed on the part of the president was a meltdown, sad to say," Pelosi, D-Calif., remarked.

She said later, at the Capitol: "I pray for the president all the time, and I tell him that -- I pray for his safety and that of his family. Now, we have to pray for his health -- because this was a very serious meltdown on the part of the president."

A senior Democratic aide told Fox News that Trump began the meeting, which was ostensibly called by the White House, by remarking that "someone wanted this meeting so I agreed to it." Trump also reportedly told Pelosi, "I hate ISIS more than you do," prompting Pelosi to respond, "You don't know that."....

So now, after several ''sources'' had claimed the leftists bullshit...........I give you a ''named source''...

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham dismissed the reports from the meeting.

"The President was measured, factual and decisive, while Speaker Pelosi's decision to walk out was baffling, but not surprising," Grisham said. "She had no intention of listening or contributing to an important meeting on national security issues. While democratic leadership chose to storm out and get in front of the cameras to whine, everyone else in the meeting chose to stay in the room and work on behalf of this country."

I rewound Nancy Perlosi's press conference today, walked up to the TV, and hung on every word. And there is not a doubt in my mind Nancy Pelosi is the greatest Speaker of the House I have seen in my lifetime. And I loved ol Tip. But Pelosi bests him in a time of national, constitutional, and national security crisis. Our nation has not been in this much peril since World War II, and have not seen a constitutional crisis like this since the Civil War. And it is Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi guiding us through it. And she is doing it with courage, intelligence, knowledge, and experience. There is no one better to lead at this time of crisis.

And Pelosi is also brilliant and crafty. The MSM hardly ever covers what the Democrats are actually doing for the country. But now the press room is overflowing. And they are there for the fight, for the dirt, for the controversy.

Which of course Pelosi knows. And also knows she has a captive audience. So she starts every press conference by going though all the legislation the Democrats have passed, and what they are working on. And I watch this pretty close but was stil surprised at all the things the Democrats are working on. Which includes lowering the prescription drugs, NAFTA 2.0 demanding enforcement and environmental protections. And gun violence. Which Pelosi has been emphasizing by showing her bracelet made of bullets.As she says a reminder to everyone the Democrats are not going away until Moscow Mitch and Trump pass gun controls. Pelosi also pushed Adman Schiff's letter beating back the Republican lies about the impeachment inquiry.

Then perhaps where Pelosi shines the most is when she opens the floor for questions. Because she thinks on her feet. Has command of all the facts. And try as they might no one can trip her up with loaded questions. In fact when one of the reporters tried her response was; "Ok lets get this over with. All of you with Republican talking points put them up now and I will answer them with this question." And what I thought was a stroke of genius when asked about the different stories of the meeting that she and the Democrats are saying and what Trump and the WH was saying her response was that instead of just photos she really wishes these meeting were actually recorded on video. Because many times what the WH claims after one of these meetings is lke they were at different meetings, That just called Trump's bluff right there.

And just a few more highlights. When she was asked about the photo of her standing up to Trump she said; I believe I was saying all roads lead to Putin with you. We were there to hear the president's plan for dealing with Syria. And he said to protect Americans. And I said that's not a plan. That's a goal. So again what is your plan. And he doesn't have one which is incredibly dangerous to our national security. And? if your goal is to bring our troops home why are you sending thousands of troops to Saudi Arabia? Is that home? And why are you abandoning the our allies the Kurds and getting them slaughtered? While letting Russia take over the middle east. Again all roads lead to Putin.

Pelosi also did an incredible job of explaining what impeachment is. And drawing the clear lines between objecting to Trump's policies which is not impeachable. And the high crimes and misdemeanors Trump has committed which is impeachable and amounts to nothing more than living up to their oaths to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

And to my total amazement MSNBC actually covered her press conference in its entirety and I can only wish the whole nation saw it.

 

The despicable desperation is palpable.

Maybe they're finally starting to grasp just how far behind they are, and how little time they have left before the election.

Rep. McCarthy slams Pelosi for leaving White House meeting

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is criticizing Nancy Pelosi for storming out of a White House meeting last week. In an interview Sunday, he said it was very “unbecoming” of Pelosi to “throw a fit” and leave the meeting with the president and other leaders about the situation in Syria.

The representative also claimed this is a pattern and often happens when Pelosi doesn’t want to compromise with Republicans. McCarthy made similar comments right after that meeting took place. He had this to say:


“Very productive between the Democrats who actually stayed in the meeting. Unfortunately, the speaker tries to make everything political. Her own statements weren’t productive. To storm out of the meeting, which I’ve watched time before during other crisis, is really not the ability of a speaker or the style of how a speaker should carry herself out.”

Democrat leaders are singing a different tune. They say they left the meeting because the president insulted Pelosi by calling her a “third rate politician.”

 

Either way, Pelosi stormed out of the meeting cause Trump offended her tender sensibilities.
